The AP can award a national champion all they want. If you win the national championship game, you are the BCS national champion. That is the one that we are talking about right now. Discussing split titles for a moral victory excuse was on page 3 I think.

been saying that for years. The SEC championship to me for years was just as big as the BCSNC due to teams controlling their own destiny and not relying on humans or computers. crystal is great but very subjective still. much is out of your hands. too many examples to list. anyone who knows football knows that.

In the system that is in place, we would be BCS national champions. That's what would matter to me if I was a player. I honestly couldn't care less if we won and LSU was awarded the AP national championship.

Exactly. Every year after the BCSCG all the espn talking heads talk about whim was left out of the game and if whomever won the BCSCG was really the best team. Never see the SEC title disputed. You know why? Because its won on the field. Bama beat 3 teams with above .500 record and because Russel Sheppard fell down while he was wide open and because RRandle didn't haul in another td we have to play these one dimensional team that didn't do shite to deserve the what they have been given. They always talk about points left on the field. No one mention that thy wouldve been career long kicks. Or that that vaunted rushing attack went BACKWARDS in ot. If and it's a big ifBama wins it'll just be anothe tainted title. But hey y'all are used to tainted titles and probation.

Calm down. You wouldn't have to be so mad in every post if you would just say I'm upset that my team won't be given the title easily because we are forced to play Alabama again rather than get an easy W playing Oklahoma State. It's okay. I would be mad too if we won the first time and had to play LSU again.

nobody mentions bama only missed ONE FIELD GOAL. two they claim were "missed" were SHORT and would not have made it anyway even if they were kicked straight down the middle.

i love reading this on here considering so many posters have claimed that our '07 championship doesn't count because we "split" it with USC. Now they're using the exact same argument we used 4 years ago
