this. The common opponent argument is pretty weak

Its only weak when it doesnt lean your way. Be fricking honest.

I dont know if LSU would beat Mizzou or not but the fricking cajun tinged nonsense that they would beat Mizzou by "2 scores" is just flat pathetic.

Thats the only thing I was really arguing.

It's a pretty weak argument no matter who it favors

So the OP was weak? I agree.

One team was 5-3 and the other was 7-1 and playing in Atlanta.

Really nothing more to see here than LSU fans crying about "what could have been" and hashing out how the schedule was against them somehow.

The ONLY team last year with a running game worth a damn that Mizzou played was Auburn. I said all year, as soon as Mizzou plays a team that will run right at them it will expose their stunting, aggressive but undersized line. That played out against Auburn finally because Auburn was the only team capable of doing that whom Mizzou played.

LSU with Hill would have run right at Mizzou and eventually had great success, giving Mett, ODB and Landry the opportunity to torch them over the top. They torched everybody all year.

Comparing our one hiccup game against a historic rivalry that always plays us tough and a Georgia team at full strength doesn't tell the whole story. Transitive property never works.

Not saying it wouldn't have been a good game, but I would have loved the matchup in our favor, just based on style of play. I don't think Mizzou saw a defense anywhere close to ours all year either.

I don't know about pathetic. Our defense feasts on offenses like Mizzous. Do not look to Ole miss as an example. They are always an outlier with us and that game is always close regardless.

I agree with your line predictions. Mizzou was good and had a special team last year. They wouldve presented us a great challenge without a doubt.
Why Mizzou and not a different team?

I don't really care who "would have" won last year but definitely excited to go down to Baton Rouge for the game in 2016! As for Tennessee just...

Let me answer this in the carefully reasoned style of an LSU fan.

Mizzou wins, 127 - 0

We would have worked Mizzou over in Baton Rouge. Weak, undersized line would have did them in.

It would have looked like the LSU-Auburn game.

LSU did not look good on the road last year. Blow out loss to Bama, loss to Ole Miss(lulz), defense was awful at UGA, and even looked vulnerable against State.
