The main reason why we ended up with Steele is because of Les Miles... 1 was because he's big buddies with Steele and 2 is because no arse. Coach worth a damn wants to coach under miles and they all disagree with miles coaching philosophies... that's why pendergast didn't come here and kirby smart laughed at us.... So now if miles is gone we prolly can hire a stud DC with the right head coach hire.

I agree with a lot of your post, but the SEC rant isn't entirely informed of all the facts regarding the LSU coaching situation.

The only difference between miles and jimbo is the crime rate. I have no idea how any fan base would be begging for fisher

I think it is a long shot, but there a few (weak) reasons he might come here.

1. We are gonna offer him at least $6Million, maybe $7Million. He is gonna get Saba.Harbaugh Money.

2. Louisiana has very fertile recruiting ground without having to fight other in state powers, and the surrounding teams as well. Really only have to fight Bama for a player you want.

3. ACC is an easier conference to get to the playoffs if you win out. IT is a lot harder if you have 1 loss. SEC you just gotta win the conference.

Still a long shot, and i doubt it happens. But there is still a small chance it could.

4. Alleva and the BOS wouldn't be doing this (firing Miles) if they didn't have somebody lined up. It has to be a big name hire or Alleva risks being fired too. With Miles' win record the last 11 years and SEC championships and a NC, you can't just fire the guy and turn around and hire a no-name guy.

A strong possibility to stay put and make a million more per year by using LSU to get a raise.

I know there have been a lot of threads about this, but it needs to be said. Why would Jimbo leave FSU? Money? The best you will do is get Jimbo a raise if you offer him.

LSU is a GREAT job, but Jimbo is not about to leave a fertile recruiting ground with a relatively easy path to the championship. It makes no sense, especially if he has aspirations of coaching in the league someday.

Stop being delusional! I mean the best you could do for a D coordinator is Kevin Steele. Kevin fricking Steele for a team perennially loaded with NFL talent. That should tell you something.

I understand it’s frustrating not to beat Saban, but Saban is the greatest coach in college football history. Yes, even better than the Bear considering modern competition and the limitations Bear Bryant didn’t have to face. I mean Urban faked a heart attack to get away from Saban! Urban could see the writing on the wall and moved to a place where it would be easier to get to the championship.

I think you will get a good coach but it isn’t Jimbo. Good luck.

Well for starters, we had other D coordinator options, Steele was Miles choice, and it has back fired as a lot of Miles decisions have. Jimbo has a lot of love for LSU, and that would be the only college program he would leave FSU for. Louisiana has fertile recruiting ground, and he has the connections in Florida. That can be very fruitful for him. Also been stated before that Fischer and some of the higher ups and have not been on the best of terms last two years. ACC is an easier conference, but make no mistake, Jimbo is a very realistic possibility.

Because it's a downward movement. LSU is beneath FSU.

Very true but it looks like a lot of LSU fans believe he would come no questions asked if they wanted him.
