You may, but you will not find your RPI better than #40 even if you do because of the OOC portion of your schedule.
Most likely in the upper 50s to mid 60s with a 12-6 record which would get you a home game for sure in the first round of the NIT.

42 isn't a sure spot in the tourney, a #1 seed in the NIT sure.
