You make some valid points, but I perceive - based on actual games played this year - that LSU would beat Missouri if they played in BR or on a neutral field.

To counter your claim, can I use other games as evidence to present in Mizzou's favor?

They were prepared and ready to play. We were leveraging contracts.

The defense improved as the year went on, but this is still the same defense that got dominated up front by Wisconsin and blasted by State. We regressed back to that form in the bowl game.

And regarding SEC perception, if you are an SEC team in a bowl game you can rest assured your opponent will be highly motivated. That's just the state of things. If you are not ready to match the intensity of a relatively
equally paired opponent you will get beat every time.

As bad as we looked somehow we lost by 3 points on a last second field goal.

They'd have a better chance of beating us at our home.

Well if that's the case, I find it interesting that you chose to flame me. You aren't even an LSU fan!

Are you?

No hate here, you frequently make me chuckle. No, I'm not an LSU fan, but I do pull for them in most games. As to your point - you can't really expect to troll 96% of the time and then have people take you seriously when you feel like having a serious discussion. That would be difficult on any board, but on the rant, where people have the attention span of a coffee drinking squirrel, it's hopeless.

I can sometimes make magic happen. IRL, I'm a magician on the side. Did you know that? My Christmas magic this year became the stuff of legend in St. Louis.

Irrelevant, and here's why: Missouri beat USCe and UF, teams that both beat UGA; so, based on your logic, Missouri should have beaten UGA.

My opinion that LSU would beat Missouri - if they played in BR or on a neutral field - is based on specific matchups involved (LSU could run on UM, while UM could not run on LSU, etc.). This is only my opinion, so TFWIW.

BTW, hope your mellon is better today.

LSU is just a victim of misguided perception

The peception that LSU is always tougher and better than they actually are.

What freaking planet are YOU on ????
LSU has lost SEVENTEEN players to the pros in the last 2 seasons, but garnered the #2 recruiting class this past February.

They also held the mighty Taaaahd to 30 yards of offense in the second half until the final drive (which BTW Miles should have thrown the challenge flag on Cooper's bobbling 3rd down catch - even the announcers said the ball was moving - you notice how Satan had the Taaahd SCREAM up to the line to snap the ball before Miles could throw the challenge flag ??????????)

This LSU team came within a whisker of beating the Taahd and thus would have had a better bowl game. And for a team with first year QB and very young starters, I think they did pretty good and the future is BRIGHT !!!

No one seems to remember that we lost OL Trai Turner, WRs Beckham and Landdy, and RB Hill (all underclassmen) to the draft. What would have happened had they returned ??????

Also, no one seems to realize that LSU will be loaded next year, with Fournette, Williams, Guice and Brossette at RB, Dural, Dupre, Quinn, Spears, Charsk, Upchurch and possibly Tyron Johnson at WR, and Smith, Stokes and Washington at TE !!!

You think LSU could run on Mizzou's defense? The Georgia game was an freak event. Weird shite like that happens every year which cannot be explained.

People who look at the Georgia game and point to that as evidence of Mizzou's weaknesses can also point to the Arkansas/LSU game to bolster their position.

And what's this neutral field crap?

LSU is in a down year by all accounts, the defense played like shite, and the offense has no QB. Who perceives LSU as being good this year? Morons? Who cares?

I think Missouri would win at home.

Bama ran for 242 yards against Missouri, so UGA wasn't the only team to be successful running the ball against them.

True. But Bama is Bama. LSU ain't Bama.
