because if LSU finishes the season 8-3 and fires a great guy in Les Miles for an imaginary Saban, they will have created a karmic death role.

I really hope we don't. A whole offseason of "we made your coach quit" sounds dreadful.

Stripped of the silly mystical trolling, he has a point, though. LSU fans can make all the logical reasoned arguments they want, but most of the country is going to hear, "Never had a losing season, never even won fewer than 8 games, won an national title, then fired after an 8-3 year." I'm not saying y'all are right or wrong, just that almost everyone else is going to go with that interpretation. It'll just be your cross to bear. Make a home-run hire that pans out (that part's important) and people will shut up. But it might be a few years.

That's what happens when you lose to Arkansas twice.

I have no pity for LSU fans.

Then I'll carry that cross to Starkville, then up to Oxford, make a quick stop in Arkansas, then roll into Tuscaloosa, stop in auburn, finish up in aggyland and stick that cross up all your asses.

Bama, Arky, and Ole Miss will have to fight over who has the privilege of being able to say that

Our entire coaching staff could sit the game out and we'd still kick your Aggies butt.

Do you generally let the fear of what others think influence your decisions?

The real question is does Kevin Sumlin survive another mediocre season and beaten by a lame duck head coach?
