But we just beat the brakes off of the statistically #1 offense in the entire SEC.

For the record, Bama's D is pretty darn good.

up until saturday night you all thought you sucked everywhere on the field

Here's some clues:

There are a LOT of LSU fans. Each has their own opinion. They share some opinions, they don't share other opinions. Some LSU fans may have thought that the LSU team "sucked everywhere on the field", but it was probably very few.

They have yet to play a team outside of Auburn that has comparable talent. Auburn did put together 6 scoring drives. They got stopped on the 1 yard line or it would have been 7.

True. Plus factor in that none of Auburn top 3 WRs are SEC quality or a matchup problem.

I've never seen an elite defense get trucked like Kerryon did to LSU defenders.

In the first 4 games, LSUs average TOP margin was - 5 min.

LSUs TOP against Missouri was +25:06.

LSUs offense had a lot to do with our defensive performance against mizzou.

We've always fared better against spread passing attacks. It's the power running teams I'm concerned about.

That Mizzou TD was during garbage time, so you can really say LSU has given up ½ a touchdown in the last 2 SEC games.

Competent offensive teams like Bama

How competent is BAMA though?

You use the argument that LSU hasn't played a competent offense to determine if they're for real.....

What defense has BAMA played that's competent?

Competent offensive teams like Bama, Arky, Ole Miss, and A&M will convert some those into tds and score in the 30s. We all know LSU won't be able to keep up.

The hope is the offense continues to move in the rt direction. Being able to hold the ball and put drives together will go a long way in helping the D.

Also have to get more consistent punting. Can't be giving opposing teams short fields.

I don't believe for a second it is as good as Bama's defense, and the stats back me up,

From my thread over on Trant

These are stats vs power 5 schools and how we rank in the SEC. I think looking at how you do against power 5 tells you more about your team than just looking at rent a wins.

Scoring Defense 15.3 PPG- 1st
Total Defense- 315.5 YPG 3rd
OPP 3rd down conv 25.81% 1st
Passes defended - 5 PG 1st
Sacks per game 3.25 Tied with A&M for 1st

We are only 1 of 2 teams that hasn't given up a play of 40+ yards to a Power 5 school.

We haven't given up a run of over 20 yards to a power 5 school.

Overturned call? Don't you really mean that we won because we won? We also had two easy dropped balls for TDs. The game was not as close as it should have been

Auburn would not want to play us again now that Les isn't holding back the offense. It would be the Mizzou game all over again.
