No troll lol. I'm quite impressed. Probably the best in the sec. you can probably run easier on lsu than bama but LSU's pass defense is light years aheadmof games. NFL talent everywhere and beckwith is the best linebacker in the sec.

That defense is going to win them some games.

They have yet to play a team outside of Auburn that has comparable talent. Auburn did put together 6 scoring drives. They got stopped on the 1 yard line or it would have been 7.

Kudos to the LSU defense for the goal line stand and holding them to 6 fgs instead of 6 tds.

Competent offensive teams like Bama, Arky, Ole Miss, and A&M will convert some those into tds and score in the 30s. We all know LSU won't be able to keep up.

having an offense that can get first downs and keep the defense off the field will help going forward. Missouri was the first game that LSU won the TOP battle. On top of better offense, I'd also expect the defense to improve as they gain experience under Aranda's scheme.

Have only allows 1 touchdown in the last 2 Sec games

And it took a trick play at that to get it

I don't know what this means but LSU defense looks pretty good.

They're still adjusting to Aranda and Aranda is still adjusting to them. I think they played their most complete game on Saturday and it'll only get better from here on.

Although I'm all in with LSU, I feel like it's average so far. But it IS improving. I feel positive on what Aranda is doing. He certainly is blending well with Coach O.

And with some of the other SEC teams.....

I am quite impressed with what Steele is doing at Auburn. He seems like a good fit there. WE are actually still in transition from the Chavis-sized defense running Pass Prevent. Steele didn't seem to jive here. We gave up too many points. Aranda will need another year at the least. But we have already improved.

Florida's D looks like the real deal. Our offense isn't Clemson all of a sudden. These UF-LSU games always come down to within a touchdown. Nothing is a gimme for either team this week.

Texas A&M seems to be a better fit for Chavis than LSU, to be quite honest.

Bama looks to have some Jeremy Pruitt holes coming over from Georgia. By that, I mean that when they will play a strong pass team.....that team will score.

Arkansas is winning on it's offense. I'm not impressed on the defense. Yet.

Tennessee isn't anything specific. It's all heart right now. The boys wanna win.

I'm just trying to help you guys manage those expectations. Nega tigers have been on vacation since Miles firing. Auburn had better defensive personnel, especially up front.

Steele looking better than Aranda' s bend don't break defense. It will break in those last 4 games against teams from the West.

So far LSU has faced the 7th and 5th best teams in the West and they are 1-1 in a close victory and a close loss. LSU is 6th best team in the West imo. Slightly better than State and a almost as good as Auburn.

Auburn wins at home thanks only to an overturned call. Against a Les Miles offense, no less.

The offensive guru Gus Malzahn can't put 20 on Aranda. Hmmm....

Meanwhile, you're forgetting that Steele knew this exact team last year. No inside knowledge of predictable Les, eh? Certainly not.

A whopping 5 point difference.

Care to revisit that theory? At least MY theories aren't intended to propel only LSU. LSU will place higher than Auburn by year's end. But Auburn did win the game. Congrats to them. It justified our HC change too.

Now......moving forward.

You keep bringing up Auburn, did you see the LSU offense with Ensminger calling the plays? And did you see the LSU offense with Cam calling the plays?

- When your offense is going three and out every drive, that wears down your defense because they're on the field so much.

- LSU controlled the time of possession against Missouri, so the defense was never gassed. I believe LSU had the ball 43 minutes to Missoui's 17 minutes?

- Number of LSU first downs in previous games:
Wisconsin: 14
JvilleSt: 18
MsState: 22
Auburn: 14
- - - - - - - - - - -
Missouri: 30

With Cam/Les calling the plays, LSU was averaging 17 first downs a game.... with O and Ensminger LSU averages 30 first downs a game.

That creates a whollleeeee lot of time to rest for a defense. And that's what we saw last night, a defense that was fresh for 4 quarters

I know right?

People could just say they hate LSU and alleviate a lot of these unnecessary comments. I mean, at least I can say I hate Bama for the reasons we hate Bama.

But I would wish ANY of these teams well in the playoff. Even A&M. Even Auburn like 2010. And I'm especially happy for Tennessee. They've had dark years long enough.

Overturned call? Don't you really mean that we won because we won?

We also had two easy dropped balls for TDs. The game was not as close as it should have been

I agree.

They will face some more talented offenses, but I think the defense for LSU is getting more comfortable with each game.

Not sure on beckwith being the best in the sec. He's certainly the best we've had in a few years.

And our DBs. Yea. They are DBU good.
