Here’s what kills me. You have LSU fans believing this fix is always in. In 6 months the very same people will be tuned in to the Destin meetings saying the LSU Bama game is college football, it needs to be played every year, it’s great for college football.

I’ve been saying this for years. It’s based a lot in reality, IMO. Their propensity to use victimhood as a form of currency is why they’ll never get over the hump permanently.
It’s the same reason that estranged family member can’t stay clean or keep a job. They have convinced themselves that they are a victim. It’s not their fault if they lose. Someone else must be to blame. It’s a weak coping mechanism that neuters the entire culture. It raises a program of losers who expect to lose, because they think the world is stacked against them.
That’s what separates the Alabamas and Georgias from the LSUs and Tennessees.
One mindset is “we’re a victim!” And the other is “Nobody cares. Work harder.”

This fanbase actually, legitimately believed the Devin White targeting call (in a game against Mississippi State) was triggered by conference corruption for the sole purpose of keeping him out of the Alabama game. Seriously.
For Christ sake, you people actually put up billboards in Birmingham over that shite.
This post is 100% spot on. It’s not every LSU fan, but it is the majority, and that is clearly evidenced not just on this board - but in real life. It’s the very reason they’ll never be consistently elite. Their victim mindset will perpetually hold them back.
