To be honest I think #1 in the country is between tee martin, pruitt and Coach O. Franks up there though.

Frank's authentic and has been great closing kids. He's our recruiting coordinator and so we all hope this gets turned over to Coach O at this point. I've heard some rumblings out of NO about Frank the past few years. Lot of coaches saying stuff about Frank's changed in how he communicates and related with coaches in the city. These are good sources at Karr, East St Johns and St Aug.

Any team with Wilson has a big leg up in LA. Tennessee would have signed Jarvis Landry and Freak Johnson if Kiffin/Orgeron/Wilson had stayed and who knows who else from LA.

Frank is a great recruiter and a good running backs coach.

UTSA got a good one. Sucks for us. Hopefully we find a decent replacement.

Sounds like the LA Tech RB coach is who y'all should target. Same position and has deep Nola connections. He'd be able to go neck and neck against Burns.

Burton Burns says hello. Frank isn't the only purple knight coaching college football. The old school New Orleanians are more loyal to Burton.

He's 63 and likely retires in a year or so. His best recruiting days are long behind him

I believe that LA Tech coach you're talking about is Jabar Juluke(sp) and he is now at texas tech.

If we can get Jaluke we get Frank 2.0. Guy will be a household name in the next few years.

Depending on how Frank Wilson does as a HC, I believe he will be back at LSU in a greater capacity or if he doesn't do well as a HC or he doesn't like it, I could see him coming back to LSU at some point in some capacity.

But yes he is a good recruiter with really good connections. If he were going to a big program, like a Big 5 conference Job close to Louisiana, I could see him taking some top La. kids away from LSU, but fact of the matter is we have Coach O. and like someone said, Coach O. helped Wilson become a good recruiter. Now, Wilson may end of getting some of those 2-3 stars that get left out and may be diamonds in the rough.

I wish him the best of luck at UTSA and I hope he gets some good experience as HC.

This is a little off the subject, but if you haven't noticed Louisiana really hasn't lost any huge recruits to other SEC teams this year. Shea would be considered a big get for an out of state team. Thing is, Shea could have been a the starter in one year behind Brandon Harris. Who knows, there was a possibility he could have taken the starting job at QB, but honestly players like Shea that used his college ranking to leverage his brother into a job, well, I just wouldn't want a player like that.

I realize we have had players pick LSU because a Coach was a cousin, uncle or something like that, but that was just an ancillary benefit.

For the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas, Ancillary means secondary benefit or second to the primary benefit, in this case LSU being a great school to play college football at and the "Ancillary" or Secondary benefit would be the player is related to a coach or grew up with a coaches family, etc...

I'm not sure if Frank is assigned to recruit areas outside of Louisiana...but he does a good job locking he home state down.

Who is his greatest out of state haul over the last few years? Not pulling a kid from Louisiana to Ole Miss or Tennessee. But pulling a kid from GA, FL, etc to Louisiana?

I stopped reading right here. That guy is one of the biggest idiots I've ever heard speak about LSU football.

You do realize that he basically twists his narratives to fit his agendas for more views right? Especially to bama fans. You guys eat it up.

I mean, he even said that LSU should have named Frank Wilson the DC over Aranda because Frank had a good defense in High School! Are you kidding me!

I never said he was knowledgeable about football in any capacity, that's why I asked about the legitimacy of his claim in this very thread.

I just think he's awesome because his attitude and video style are fun to watch.
