Because I really think y'all have a better shot in JHS with Harris.

Auburn struggles containing mobile QBs. Trevor Knight was probably the biggest factor in our game vs Texas A&M last night. Yes our offensive struggles were huge, but they had struggles as well. Difference is Trevor Knight was elusive as hell and was able to keep them on the field. There were multiple plays last night that were very nearly huge momentum shifting sacks for AU that Knight was able to escape from and run for a first down. Danny Etling would have taken these sacks IMO.

Etling may be a much better passer than Harris, but he's still just an average passer overall and our cornerbacks are very good. Against an average passer like Etling our secondary is could've to put in man vs your WRs and load the box to slow down Fournette. Best way to remedy that is with a mobile QB. If we have to worry about the QB taking off we have to play zone or leave a spy and that makes it easier for Fournette to run buck wild on us again.

Etling is the man now. He has the ability to move the chains, has much better pocket presence and has some pretty good wheels. We ride or die with him now. Harris is not an option unless Etling gets injured.

Have you watched Harris play at all this year? Kid has major confidence issues and can't hit a mid range pass to save his life.

Etling is the starter 100%, and he moves the chains very efficiently. Without a few fumbles and some very nice special teams plays by state last night LSU wins in a blowout.

Harris doesn't pull the ball down and run anymore. Etling moves well in the pocket and can tuck it. He's not Lamar Jackson but he can manage

Harris is not more mobile than Danny

Danny eludes pressure way better and also keeps his eyes downfield while doing so. He has decent speed also.

It'll be Etling 100%

Harris has zero clues in the pocket. That much is certain.

From taking sacks at Purdue. He's averaging 4.8 ypc (higher than Harris) with 1 TD this season

Not this year, only seen Etling play for y'all. But Harris' confidence was the biggest bugaboo with my scenario. Especially considering the last time he was in JHS it was his first start ever and he went 3/14 in a 5 TD loss.

Harris is a lot like Jeremy Johnson in that regard.

Try watching an LSU game with Etling at QB sometime.

Wow, thanks for the insight, I can now see how you know more about LSU than every LSU fan...

Harris is more athletic and fast, but he refuses to use his athleticism and speed. Etling is pretty quick and actually moves around some. Therefore we are all saying etling is more mobile.
