near walkons has some free parking, not a far walk from the stadium. lots of nice people throwing tailgates between there and the stadium. im sure you will be offered some food, a beverage, and maybe even a few tigerbaits thrown yalls way. geaux tigers

been to 2 games in BR and absolutely have had a great time at both. My favorite away game scene.

here's how it works: You walk by big tailgate and bunch of LSu fans do tiger bait chant. You wave to them, one drunk dude jumps out and high fives you. Minutes later you have a Makers Mark drink in your hand and a bowl of some shite that's the best food you've ever had

For me, yes. I believe they did away with that requirement though?

But for a ten year old? I'd have no concerns with taking a teenager, but not sure it is a good environment for a ten year old. Especially if LSU loses

It'll be better than expected. Great weather, night game. Only 3 home games left.

Parking can be a pain. Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes. Decent chances of finding a place south of the stadium. May be a little more pricy but especially with a little one might be worth it.

I've taken a couple of kids at that age. He'll be sitting in the family section, not by the student section I'm sure. Great environment. You can walk around the tailgates, bring him to see Mike the Tiger, grab some great food. Line up to see the band, etc.

Better than taking a 10 year old to an Aggie game and having to watch Aggies do the “funny” stuff they do.

I hope you and your son have a blast. It’s truly an amazing experience. The Louisiana people will treat you guys well! Welcome to Tiger Stadium.

I used to always park at the baseball stadium back in the day. It was a longer walk, but easier to get out of there when it’s over.

Don't park anywhere past the Wienerschnitzel on Highland if you can help it. Don't venture down any street named after a state or a President.

I'd try and park out near Alex Box if possible.

Does LSU offer free shuttles from Alex Box to the football stadium like Arkansas does with Baum-Walker?

Have some fun

After the game - good luck

100,000 people in the same place in BR is not good

Our road system is the same as it was 50 years ago

Just saying but go see Mike - there is some good food around - the 1st Walk-ons is close to the stadium but very hard to get into - you can try

Take your boy down to the Mississippi Levee due West of the Stadium - you walk right in front of the Vet school

Nice area up there to see the big muddy

Your boy would enjoy watching the Tiger band come down the hill on the North area of the Stadium - between the Basketball stadium and Tiger Stadium - 6:30 kickoff so around 4 the Tiger walk with all the football players walking down then the big Tiger Band - it is worth the crowd

Baton Rouge is a nice family town - lots of drinking on Saturday night around Tiger Stadium and in Tiger Stadium - Explain drunk for your kid - but it really is not that bad

Geaux Tigers - I love my visits to Arky - nice folk up there
