Obviously we all like when our ex players make great plays. We like when OBJ makes great plays, you like when Julio Jones does, state fans with Dak, ect.

While you are right that it has no affect on rankings and championships in College Football, it certainly has pull in the recruiting landscape. LSU has undoubtedly been College Football's NFL Factory for quite some time, I mean how many years have they lead the league in NFL players on a roster?
Not to mention the very obvious STAR power a good bit of LSU's players have received in the NFL over the years, with names like OBJ, Jarvis Landry, Deon Jones, Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Jeremy Hill, Kwon Alexander, Danielle Hunter, ETC.
The list literally goes on forever with those cats.
