I think it had more to do with Alleva caving. Aggy said "We want to play Thanksgiving night," and Alleva said "Ok."

And.. SEC connections..

You can roll your eyes all you want but you know it's true. The Friday afternoon game was the only game on, all day, NFL or college. Now you have to share eyeballs with the NFL, not to mention by the time your game starts, most people will be in turkey induced comas and won't even be awake.

Give me college, all day, every day over NFL.

No. I can't. I am adamantly opposed to it.

I really, really like the Friday game.

Are you really this dumb? Other college games have been on Friday for years.

I give zero fricks about the NFL. The recruits who need to see the game will see the game.

It's interesting, the Aggies got what they wanted, and Lsu didn't on this issue

By the nature of this board being college sports (especially football) centric, that opinion will be popular on this board. But the average fan (a category no one on this board falls into) will watch NFL over college at every opportunity.

Same here, but the discussion was about exposure and the NFL is light years ahead of college in that regard.

The overwhelming size of the gulf between how many people care about the NFL as opposed to college football is totally lost on this board. I'm not saying that I enjoy the NFL more but the SECr is laughable on this issue.

I'd say exposure will be about even. We'll lose some by playing on Thursday, but we'll gain some by replacing Arkansas with A&M

Iowa/Nebraska
Houston at Tulsa
Boston College/Miami
Colorado at Utah
Pittsburgh at West Virginia
Cal at Arizona State

That's just one year

Use to be neb/Colorado
Arizona/zona st

Etc etc

There have been games on the Friday for a long time now, but the jewel in the crown was always the LSU-Arky game.

Hell no. There's nothing like a Saturday night in Death Valley. Unless, it's ATL or the NCG.

Thank you, that's what I meant in the first place. I was just exaggerating.
