This is what I think too. LSU's program is in great shape and AU's is so far in the friggin dump they cannot see light

Yep, with all the freshmen we have played this year the future looks very bright. 11-2 and a top ten finish this year is totally fine with me. We'll make another run next season.

Also, this year makes 5 out of 8 years under Les Miles that we have gone into November still with a realistic shot at the National Title. That's all you can ask for as a fan IMO.

I'm not depressed. I was angry, then sad, then disappointed, now numb.

I couldn't be happier with the way the offense & defense played. They left it all out there, and their best was good enough on this particular night to beat anybody.

But it was just unfortunate that our special teams picked the worst possible time to have a bad game. And I appreciate the ballsy coaching moves, but I don't think some of them were made at the right time, etc.

4 or 5 plays ended up being the difference in the game. Oh well. On to Mississippi State

the OP is not indicative of all AU posters.

I like to think of him as the "Tammy" of the fan base.

You guys are clueless. We lost because our prevent defemse gave up 14 pts in three minutes, a touchdown in last minutes before each half.

Les Crazy shite cost us nothing and it rattles Satan. Only when he saw something he knew was coming, our fricking prevent did he kill us.

Depressed-no
Sad-yes
But we saw one of the all time great games in SEC history,IMO. Every player on both teams left it all on the field. That is all you or anyone can ask.
Good game, LSU will get'um next year.
Ps, Depression is being an Aburn fan and knowing your team is going to sux for ever and a day.

The rest of your schedule was a piece of cake and you would've romped Georgia in Atlanta again. You would've been matched up against some dinky spread team or an overrated Kansas State team you would've manhandled in the title game in Miami. Even as a 1 loss SEC team you would've gone no matter what because we've won it for 6 straight years. So frickin close. I can't believe it. As a bammer hater, I feel for you guys.
can't get any worse than 21-0 in the NC. This actually wasn't as bad. Team is one of the youngest in college football and hopefully mettenburger is gaining confidence

This has been happening since Day 1, used to it.

I am jealous of Auburn and Gene Chizik, because at you get to start over next year. LSU is doomed to nothing until the mouse running the wheel inside Les's skull croaks

Look at you, you've got that 05 Bass Tracker with the 47lb Motorguide trolling at the perfect speed of between .06 and 1.1 MPH, the hooks are sharp and with just 77 casts you've got crappie piling up on top of one another in the live well. Be sure to turn on the aerator my man or you're going to have a bunch of stiffs in there.

Not at all.

Phenomenal game

Greatest atmosphere of any sporting event in the history of the world.

Offense looked great against the #1 defense in the land.

Things are looking up.

The ball just didn't bounce our way in this one.

I have forever been jaded with LSU football after the championship game. The majority of the LSU fan base expected a win, and we didn't gain 100 yards

I take comfort in knowing our guys competed the entire night. Very questionable coaching decisions don't change the fact that our team looked like the type of squad we've been expecting all year. The Florida loss was much more disappointing than this game, because I feel that Alabama is LSU's peer, while UF is still a notch below. Sucks losing to a team that you are better than, but no shame in losing a game like Saturday night.

Nah, they didn't lose that.

KSU will not lose.

Oregon will probably not lose.

And there's that pesky Notre Dame still out there undefeated.

They may have lost an SEC championship, but they were not making it to the big game.
