They bring a ton to ttown but apparently suck arse at traveling to bowls. No wonder they usually get picked over.

STILL with that word?

I have something riding on them beating Oregon. It's a personal matter.

Don't worry A&M will pick up LSU's clack this year by selling out the allotment plus and of course actually winning vs the ACC.

well we have the second longest bowl streak in the sec so we have been to plenty of bowls as of late. I doubt the school eats 5,500 tickets this year.

Some thanks we get for all the money we kick back to the rest of the conference schools by making a bowl with a $3+ million payout.

Not that I want it to happen, but the quickest way to weed out the bandwagoners and re-energize the fan base, is to go through a few lean years. It makes the fans appreciate winning again; whereas now, many people take it for granted.

By the way, LSU isn't the only SEC school who didn't sell out their allotment of bowl tickets last year. UF went to the Sugar Bowl and did not travel well at all.

LSU is very selective on when they show up--when they do, it's the best environment in college football.

damn straight

The UF game this year was a real eye opener though. Tons of empty seats everywhere.

Florida? yawn.

I'm sorry, but if LSU fans take the "BCS, Sugar, Cotton, or bust approach" it's going to really hurt selection chances in the future.

LSU is a great regional school-- they just don't have the national appeal that Alabama, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, etc.. Have where there are "bandwagon" fans in every area of the country that will come out and see them play if they come to their location for a bowl spot.

correct, we actually hold degrees from the school however besides last year's chicken bowl we travel better/ have better bowl attendance than most schools in the SEC and the country.

When I went to the Cap One Bowl in 2010, I was a amazed that so many fans I sat around were just folks who lived in Central Florida, and liked Alabama football.

Yes and I'm amazed every year at all the die hard Miami Heat fans that live in Baton Rouge on my Facebook newsfeed.

You couldn't be more wrong. LSU almost always travels well to bowl games. Last year was the exception. Many of our fans were pissed because two teams that we beat got better bowls than us. As you know, the easiest way the fans can make their displeasure known is to not buy tickets.

Ok. Someone give me a ticket. I will be glad to go to an LSU game anywhere, anytime! Recently I was on VAC and I went to LSU home games against A&M and Ark. and the atmosphere was electric! I don't care how many fans were there. Keep in mind this was w cold/rainy conditions, school was out (holidays) and the students were gone. LSU respects its students! Props to them. If they don't use their tickets I suppose the seats just go empty? Blame it on the students - not the "overrated" fans.

The Chick Fil A Bowl not selling out is not a surprise. Going to ATL is about going to play in the SEC Championship game.
Miles has played in more bowl games in ATL than SECCGs.

Figured you guys have everything on lock down over there by now.
