Yes. The main thing for both won't be putting up numbers. If we can just control the football and avoid turnovers our offense should be serviceable.

I wasn't aware we fielded competitive football teams in 2011/2012.

Yeah there is concern. Obviously neither has separated themselves. And from what little tidbits i gather i dont think either has been overly impressive.

I personally think it's Les Miles way of letting Jennings down easy. It will be evident to all Harris deserves to be the starter by league play. We obviously feel very confident that we will move the ball on the ground very easily vs. Wisc. Then it will be easy game experience for Harris to competely take over, imo.
I imagine they think Harris will be the better passer going forward, he just needs reps. Other than that, we lose nothing when he replaces Jennings. It's not like losing Mett and going with a backup (passing wise)

lsu fans will rationalize anything. Most of them won't have any concerns

The reality is that if the competition is close enough that you can discern which qb is better, then you're better off picking one and allowing him to establish a rapport and rhythm with the offense

Plugging in a new qb every few drives is a great way to slow the evolution of your offense over the course of a season

If that's what they plan to do, then I don't think we're going to have that much trouble stopping their offense

Landisch and Herring will be in their backfield all night so it probably won't matter at the end of the day.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Wisconsin plans on playing two quarterbacks as well during the game. If I'm LSU, you stack the box and use your superior talent on defense (and experience) to limit Melvin Gordon and make Joel Stave, or whoever else they have out there, throw the ball. They don't have a lot of talent at receiver, so I'd imagine they'd have trouble against our secondary.

On the other side, we'll just use their strategy since it's one we've been doing for years. We can run just as well as they can, the difference is that they lost like six guys with significant playing time on their front seven.

I'm not saying they don't have a chance, but I think the Tiger get the win with relatively little trouble.

I do think that LEs using 2 qb system would be a absolute indicator he feel's this way as well. Bet the house on this one, the staff not worried one bit!

Not if one is a true freshman and you don't want to lose a team's confidence and loyalty they have for the other qb.

I predict Jennings the starter, and HArris in a lot. By game 3, barring any disasters by Harris, he will be the starter from then on. Either way, they are both GREAT and it will have no bearing on our easy opening game victory.

Maybe your guys should get in Jennings ear while on the field and let him know he has a home with you guys if Harris takes over, :)

No problem, LF will be 15 yds downfield by the time they get there.
