Funny to see the Bama fans bashing Fisher's coaching abilities. Saban called Fisher the best offensive coordinator he had ever employed when questioned about Kiffen's genius. Bama fans know the road to Atlanta is a lot bumpier if Fisher is in Baton Rouge.

The "insider" on your board that has everyone eating out of the palm of his hand literally said that Jimbo was putting together a staff that would "never lose to Alabama again." That's some pretty strong hyperbole when talking about a coach that lost to a not very good Georgia Tech team this year.

I agree with this to an extent. But. He recruits as well as Les does. He runs the same offense Bama does. He has done nothing without Winston and they lost to Georgia Tech this season. I just want to know why your fans are so happy?

I'm posting on a message board. Everyone is asleep and I'm bored. Please forgive me for having interest in college football. Why are lsu fans so defensive about people having a discussion about their new coach? Buyer's remorse?

That goes beyond optimism and ignores the fact that Fisher has, in a state loaded with talent and in a weaker conference, put up results not that far removed from Les Miles or Mark Richt.

And besides, what if you don't even get Fisher? People have made it sound like this is simply a matter of firing Les and announcing Jimbo a few days later. Texas fans were certain they were getting Saban. Then what happens?

It's a defensive mechanism. They are alone and scared right now about the future
