i went to busch gardens in '09. the tiger habitat was as impressive as mike's but, multiple tigers share it. mike has a habitat as good as one of the world's best zoos and has it all to himself. nice

A frat brother who ended up at TU was the arse.Dean of Engneering & he had 4 of his students travel to Mike's old cage that nite after the game & cut the lock off. Friend still has the lock & kept it in his office for yrs. It was pure luck all round that it was so late at night no students were in the area at the time & he ended up in the infield of the track stadium. Had some drunken students run across him..............

True story

use to do a radio show with Pete cordelli, defense coordinator for Lou Holtz at Notre Dame.

sharing stories about some funny things during his career, he tells the story of Holtz leafing ND into TS late 80's.

mikes cage is at the visitor entrance to the field. Holtz bringing the team out the tunnel, has his back to the field and the cage. Well ole Mike lets out a roar right next to ole Lou...

cordelli: " Holtz jumped 5 feet in the air and hauled butt down the sideline, leaving the entire team at the tunnel"

Would be cool, if they could get him to run with the players, like they do at CU with Ralphie

wtf?

Dude, Ralphie eats grass, Mike eats Ralphies.

Nobody's gonna run around with a 500 pound cat on a fricking leash.

Somewhere on this site there is a great rant about Mike and his bashfulness.

Wish I could find it.

That would have been right after they lost to State. Posters were blaming Mike for being a pussy. Evidently he has social anxiety disorder or something and won't get in the trailer so they can park it right in front of the visitor's entrance to the field. Also blamed the vet students for hooking him on tranquilizers so they could all have a turn brushing his teeth.

yeah a Siberian tiger running amongst a bunch of dudes would illicit a primitive urge from Mike that would not end well on national television

We have a fricking Live Tiger on our campus. Can it get any better? Ive seen him up against the glass putting his paw up on it against little kids hands multiple times walking to class in the mornings. You'll never see a little Tiger fan so happy!

Mike does what he wants. Marcus Spears and Kaylee Hartung in the background. Spears is about 6'4" and 310 lbs...
