I'll state it clearly for you: LSU's defense has not been tested this year like it will be Saturday. UGA will score points Saturday - more than any team has against LSU this year because UGA is the best team LSU will have faced this year so far.

Didn't read through the thread, but to answer the OP's question.... Yes, it's one of my main concerns about the game.

LSU is typically the team that has been tested more when SEC play starts. Definitely can't say that this year. I have a TON of respect for Gurley and for Murray, despite his record against ranked teams. UGA's defense is chock full of youngsters that are going to blossom into stars, just not sure when.

Hope it's not until after Saturday. Geaux Tigers!

so kickoff returns now count against the defense. got it.

Although the thread is alot further down now that wasn't my point. You said no one pointed it out. Mindbreaker said in a response to Spread bashing the defense that TCU's first touchdown was scored on a kickoff thus implying that it wasn't on the defense. In short I agree with your sentiment.

Anyone who thinks playing tough compeition early as a disadvantage is totally clueless.

It prepares you mentally and physically for the rest of the season.

We've seen Georgia's playbook. They've only seen the first page of Cam's.
This is important. Georgia has already had to throw the kitchen sink at a couple of opponents, but LSU has not. In that respect, Georgia being "tested" actually works against them. Look for Cam to change things up a bit on Saturday. It won't be drastic, though; just minor adjustments here & there that will keep the D on their heels.

They took their foot off the gas? We've played 4 games and that was the only one that was 70% run to 30% pass. Usually it's more even. Despite what they say, I know what I saw. In the second half, they did not really throw unless Auburn scored.

We always take our foot off the gas. Thats why North Texas put up 21 on us.

Its been pretty common knowledge by the national media that OBJ/Landry is the best 1/2 punch in college football

Hopefully they'll get to face a recovered Purifoy and Roberson in a few weeks. Hopefully, the lost of Easley won't hurt the secondary too much.

Both teams have enough "Tested" players for that not to matter... Georgia could win, but I don't see it... The dogs choke in the big one again...

The only way I see LSU losing is the LSU QB Metzenburgertroid having just a crappy day and turning it over a lot...

Georgia can't stop the run and here it comes...

So much fail in this post, Larry. This is actually the total opposite of what actually happened.

No. UGA is extremely overrated. Sure Murray and Gurley are good but Mettenberger and Hill are great. Couple that with the undisputed fact that the LSU defense is better and Richt is a retard and LSU wins the ball game by 10+.

Probably my favorite part about that win was the receiving corps making the slapdicks who called them below average look like the dummies they were

I think we know LSU's weakness is an offense that runs 90 plays 15 seconds apart. LSU dominated Auburn until wearing down in the fourth. It was too late by then. Luckily, UGA doesn't play at that pace.

Ain't turribly slow either
