Les was kind of the perfect coach for LSU, to us non LSU fans but people who love to tune in because an LSU game is one of the most guaranteed go to for people who just love college football. When you watch an LSU game you know anything could happen and was there ever a better ring master for nights at Death Valley, going for any 4th down with Hester, the Honey Badger, JaMarcus bombs, getting up and beating anybody and playing down to whoever the next weekend( just to get the pulse going), no there was not LSU should be coached by a grass eating mad hatter.

Don't try to be Bama, that fun sucking, dour, petty tyrant bureaucrat of a coach. Stay LSU

They're too eaten up with Bama envy to listen but you're exactly right. Les was born to coach LSU and he was better at it than anybody has ever been. And they didn't even let him make it to October for a farewell tour, the winningest coach in LSU history. Really fricking disgraceful and tacky.

I am fine with just the fans being whacky and unpredictable.

if our coach could be cruel and methodical that woudl be nice.

He isn't the best to ever do it, he isn't the winningest coach at LSU ever, and it was time.

Nope. I want a fun and exciting offense not daffy duck digging in his ear after the 8th 3 and out in a game.

I am offering praise, LSU is can't miss tv for this fan, I love watching it because it's unique and I don't want it to change. I don't care how you execute or scheme, I'm just saying there was a free wheeling balls to the wall gusto that made it amazing at times and crazy at other.

He was a great fit but stubborn as a damn mule. Cost him his job. I think the guy enjoyed this type of craziness you speak of OP...even though, over time it all caught up with him. Too many close games in his career (that yes...puts you on the edge of your seat as a college football fan) but let me tell you, got exhausting years ago as a fan. All that said, will truly miss the man and wish him the best.

Whatever les was given the benefit of the doubt last year promised change and didn't. We've been in a free fall since the Florida win last year.

Charles McClendon is still #1. Les would have still needed about 4 or more seasons to catch him.

Of course we should listen to those without a tie to LSU. Tell us how to feel about our school. Its not like we can do better than Les. That should make the SEC happy we got rid of a great coach.
