Anything's possible in life. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
My favorite radio spot was the Alabama reporter (forget the name) who admitted he picked LSU to finish last- but added: 'The problem we have with LSU is if Brandon Harris "gets it" this fall, we all look like idiots.'

I doubt LSU finishes last unless their QB play continues to stink on ice AND they get a visit from the injury fairy this year.
If only one of those two things occur then you can probably toss LSU into the sack with everyone not named Alabama or Auburn and randomly pick teams to see where they come out in the standings. There looks to be a lot of parity in the West this season so anything can tank a season.
Otherwise I expect LSU will win at least 8 games, possibly more. I don't think they win the West this year, though stranger things have happened, but I can certainly see them playing spoiler and taking a big poo on another team's run for the SECCG.

1. Garrett
2. Noil
3. Mack
4. Kyle Allen - (247 #10 overall)
5. Christian Kirk - (247 #25 overall)
6. RSJ - (247 #25 overall)
I won't even list Murray, that makes 7, but we can't have 2 QB on the field at once, or can we?!?
Offense we lost - 1 WR (Kennedy), 1 LT, 1 LG
Defense we lost - 1 CB, 1 safety
All the returning players started multiple games last year. That leaves.... 17 starters returning
Anything else?

So is it safe to say Sumlin is running out of excuses?
Asking for a friend.

They have far and away the least talent at the QB position in the division, but they have an easy cross division slate, so maybe not.

Yep, most of the talent will be sophmore / Juniors. He will survive this year if he wins 8-9, but in 2016 they better be in the championship hunt or he may be out the door.
He has won 28 games in 3 years, it's not like he's vandy / Tenn / Arky / Kentucky bad
vs Auburn (2-1)
vs Bama (1-2)
vs LSU (0-3) Ouch
vs Ole Miss (2-1)
vs Miss State (2-1)
vs Arky (3-0)
He just needs to put it all together in the same year.

That leaves 4 five stars..
quote:+3 LBs =14
Defense we lost - 1 CB, 1 safety
Four linebacker rotation

people who legitimately believe LSU will finish last are really really ignorant. i get it's fun to troll LSU fans, and this is a troll thread, but if created with any sincerity, do yourself a favor and stop posting

I don't understand how on earth ppl can pick lsu to win the west with their qb development.
because LSU managed to win the west with Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson at QB. Why people continue act like LSU can't be successful with a mediocre QB is beyond me. Have none of y'all watched football the past 10 years?
