what? What does that have to do with anything. Y'all can play 2 P5 opponents if you want. If you don't want to, you were already scheduled to play one so you don't need to puss out of it. If you wanted to play a different opponent, you could have set up a different opponent before.

I'm curious didn't A&M just play Sam Houston State, Rice, and SMU as their OOC games this year? Also weren't they all at home

It's hard for us to justify our weak OOC schedule, honestly. I'm sure there are administrative reasons for it, but I don't know what they are.
Looks like we will have Arizona State next season and then UCLA the two after that. Oregon is canceled unfortunately.

FWIW- it looks like we traded a home and away with Syracuse for the NC State series. Much better place to play on the road than NC State.
