I think it's very cool unless you start retiring everybody where it gets diluted.

I couldn't have said it better. I believe LSU retired 2 (Cannon and Cassanova); but we haven't even retired an all time rusher, passer, etc.

I know one their grandsons who went to Tennessee. He'd definitley kick the shite out of you if he met you and you told him that.

My paw paw probably doesn't know that dude and if he heard him say that he'd do the same thing!

It sounds like poor taste, but yes. Build them a plague, honor their numbers, have ceremonies where each kid that wears #40 for example knows the story and honor behind it.

You should get James Bond's tech guy to help with your plague =)

Hint: Use his name to fix what is broken here

To a lesser degree LSU also passes on the #7 since Patrick Peterson. Its more of a players choice.

Patrick Peterson

Tyrann Mathieu

(Two Seasons of no #7)

Leonard Fournette

I think it will go to another DB after LF leaves.

hester was 18 I believe, and they gave it to a LB recently I think.

It began with the leadership of NC winning QB, Matt Mauck and is handed down annually by a team vote.
