2nd and 3rd best of the west rivals, good for ya'll. We will be rivals with Georgia, Florida and South Carolina, winners of the east, over the next few years. But hey,

Like when bama comes in second in the sec west, but gets a SECOND shot at undefeaded LSU for the NC. Oh yea ,bama lost at home to LSU and got to sit on their arse while LSU had to beat ga in the seccg. So lets see ,Bama comes in SECOND in their division to an undeafeated team that beat them AT their house.Plays one less game, and somehow gets another game for all the marbles against the team that played arguably the toughest schedule ever.Lets add that the sec office is in Tuscaloosa, not that that would have anything to do with it.Oh yea how in the hell can bama be rivilies with Fla and Ga when they don't even play them!

Haven't let it go that Bama was better?

You wanted a cheap title but had to play the best team. Lol

LSU is not accepting applications for rivalries.

Maybe but the recruiting areas overlap and Coach Sumlin has said specifically said he will recruit Louisiana as we recruit East Texas. Losing one or two recruits to someone else happens but what if some big names start going to A&M. Let's say that Williams kid chose A&M, plus a couple of other big names. I agree with the OP...in time this could be a very heated and bitter rivalry. We'll see.

Who's applying?

Rivalries aren't claimed; they fester over time.

I agree.

LSU and A&M was heated in the 90s. I remember those games when Leeland McElroy used to kill our arse. I hope it gets back to those times because it will be good for both schools especially with LSU having a big alumni base in Houston.

I like playing Texas A&M in any sport. They are always a worthy opponent, and their fans are pretty classy too.

Yeah but what the hell does state politics have to do with 20 year old amateurs on a playing field?

Yeah, your weak arse schedule is content with Tennessee and Auburn too!

This is a stupid statement. Auburn and Tennessee are historically 2 very solid football programs and will eventually be competitive again. I mean, last year, Tenn damn near beat UGA and UGA gave Bama a helluva game. Stop giving our good fans a bad rep by complaining about the damn schedule.

You are correct Sir. Last I recall ATM won 5 in a row b/f LSU's recent streak of a few W's. It was one of the best cross-conference rivalries in the south/country year in and year out. The winner of that early season non-conference game was assured top 5-10 opening the season. I expect the same since we are in conference now. Geaux Tigers and Ags. Looking forward to 2013 in Tiger Stadium!

Well if you're a conservative just think about how you feel about Cal-Berkley and there you go.

I don't think anything about Cal.
I'm not understanding how that applies to what TAMU represents?
