This board has been full of A&M and LSU fans shite talking/trolling back and forth. But when you look deeper, it makes sense. They need each other. Let’s look at major rivalries schools in the league currently have.

UF: UGA and FSU
UGA: UF and Auburn
Auburn: Bama and UGA
Bama: Auburn and Vols
Vols: Bama
USC: Clemson
Egg Bowl

A&M: Bailed on Texas - no current major or traditional rival.

LSU: Arky maybe? No major or traditional rivals.

Conclusion: LSU-A&M we’re put on earth to be in bed with one another. They need each other. So while they continue to bicker like an old couple, just know they love each other.

LSU: Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, A&M, and any team coached by a guy with $11mln and a funny accent.

The Florida-LSU rivalry has been a much better contest than anything with A&M. The Tiger-Gator matchups across all sports are always fun.

LSU has beaten UF 9 of the last 12 games.

LSU has beaten Aggy 9 of the last 11 games.

Neither of you bitches are our rivals.

A&M is clearly the dominant program. 3 national titles will never mean as much as A&M's 2 regular season wins over Bama the last 12 years. Advantage aggie.

You do realize this thread was started by a gator.

And he did not even think your game with them was worth mentioning.

An he laid out solid points as well.

You LSU fans sure do waste a lot of time on a team you don’t think is your rival. It’s pretty interesting.

LSU has the most national titles this millennium, outside of Alabama.

LSU is also 1-0 vs Alabama in front of sitting U.S. Presidents.

Arkansas in 2011:

"Aggie is 5-13 against us over the last 18 meetings. Those bitches ain't our rival!" (proceed to lose 9 in a row)

LSU will never be more than a 3rd rival for UF. For them it is FSU and then Georgia.

Once Texas joins, LSU is a good 2nd Rival for A&M with Arkie a close 3rd.

LSU has only had 1 primary rival historically and that was Tulane when Tulane cared about football in the leather helmet era.

Tulane is did.

Our rival is any idiot that thinks the backup qb shouldn't be the starter, and that can and does change within the season.

It has nothing to do with w/l records.
Many of the best rivalries don’t.

The two states are connected in many ways.
Oodles of Texas kids attend LSU, and countless Louisiana folks have moved to Texas.
The rivalry is and always has been inevitable.

No clue why either side views that reality as praise or slander.

But is Texas going to come in and blow it all up? Will be interesting to see how these divisions/pods work.
