It's OK bro, just own it.

When our school puts 1935 and 1936 on stadium cups and flags and sells jerseys with the number 6 on them, I'll own it.

A sentence on a monument, not so much.

We're owning the corndog thing. I think that's enough for one year.

I just noticed (we're 4 pages into this thread) that per the monument we didn't even play Bama in 1936.

Prime flame opportunity up in smoke.

Gumps be slacking today.

Thought it went without saying that if you'd played us, you would have finished unranked.

They'll own it eventually. They just need time for it to be printed on cups and foam seatcushions and shite.

That purple will darken to a color looking almost like crimson and that yell- err... gold will fade until it's almost white.

Then they'll look in the mirror and see us... and they'll own it.

Odd that you would claim 1936, since it's easily as bogus as UA's 1941.

Sagarin also awarded LSU #1 for '36.

At least the Tigers won the SEC that year. Who won it in '41? State? Didn't they win 14-0 in Tuscaloosa that year?

Nice try.

Upon further review, our schedule was horrible that year. Scheduling thread!

The only team on our regular season schedule that finished the season in the AP Top 20 was Arkansas at #18. Bama finished #4. Tennessee finished #17. No other SEC teams in top 20 at year's end. Granted, probably a lot of anti-Southern media bias back then in. Santa Clara finished #6. That ranking may have been legit.

Well, you were correct in pointing out that none of us caught that. I was throwing my best hail mary under the circumstances.

I'm detecting a certain trend with Bama's national title claims.

Only thing I see is that y'all weren't the first ones to celebrate a national championship from a two-loss team.

frick that shite, I BEEN claiming 1908, 1935, 1936, 2003 and 2007. I'd claim '61 before '62 though.

I love how you tried to beat everyone to the punch about your school claiming faux championships then attempted to spin the ridicule on us. We're flattered.
