South Carolina will come back down to earth tonight after they lose to Alabama.

We aren't bad though. That was obvious sarcasm (even though it's a real possibility). I wish the majority of Ole Miss enthusiasts would refrain from posting about basketball considering there are only about 5 actual fans on this board. I'm sure you'll be in the crowd of idiots lobbying for Kennedy to get canned once we go on a minor skid

The way this team has been up and down I wouldn't be surprised to see Ole Miss be in it to the end. Blakeney is a huge disappointment!!

No, I was at his opening press conference & one of the few students at every game from his first season on. I've always thought AK was great for Ole Miss. Our team is not very deep this year unlike 2013 & 2015 so for us to expect that type of outcome would be foolish.

Expecting to beat Florida, Auburn, and South Carolina at home and a 7-8 State team in Starkville is foolish?

Don't underestimate the power of LSU basketball to underachieve. Been a frustrating year to say the least

Alabama isn't great, but this is definitely a bit of a trap game for SCAR.

Should be really tight.

We can't match up well against Simmons (who can?) and he will have a monster night. I think he goes for 40 and 20. LSU wins this one by about 10. If we somehow won this one, it would be big for us momentum-wise.

Simmons will get his numbers (just like Moody will get his). The question is which of the supporting casts will step up. LSU had 3 guys get double/doubles against UK. That led to a blowout of the Cats. The next game against Florida Simmons had virtually no help. There was a point where he was literally LSU's only option on offense and the only person scoring. LSU was so reliant on him that he pressed, which led to 8 turnovers.

40 and 20 would be great. But in reality, I don't think Simmons really wants to get those kind of numbers. He's smart enough to know that if he is, it likely means no one else for LSU is doing anything. Much like Lebron in his younger days, Simmons would prefer to get everyone involved. He'll only try to take over when it is clear that none of his teammates are providing any help.

He's still an impossible matchup though. Truly a guy that can play and defend all 5 positions

I think Martavious Newby will do a decent job with Simmons. He'll still get his 20-10-5

No doubt. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost. Both these games should be good ones.

LSU is 8-1 at home, I believe. Sure, only Kentucky is a good win out of those but still. We didn't play well against Alabama or Georgia, we were shooting in the low to mid 30s. We will need a role player to step up and Moody to be way more efficient than he has been recently.

I'm honestly thinking we lose the next 4. I'd say USC is our best chance to win with @LSU and @MSU close to guaranteed losses. It doesn't matter how good/bad either of us are, State beats us 90% of the time there.

If I had to rate our chances to lose the next 4:
@MSU > @LSU > FL > USC

You are the perfect representation of an Ole Miss basketball fan and the sole reason why the program will never be relevant
