If yall really don't think you have the talent to match a Cincinnati or a Memphis or any other number of top 15-20 teams yall are crazy.

And I don't know how that's a deflection, Alabama sucks and we all acknowledge that freely.

They could beat those teams at home but not on the road. Or really anyone on the road because they don't know how to play defense.

The difference is that there is hope for LSU because Jones is a big time recruiter. Grant is a good guy and runs a clean program but he simply can't recruit anywhere near the level that Wimp, Hobbs, and Gottfried did. Releford is probably the only Grant recruit that will play basketball professionally but even that will be overseas and not in the NBA. I think he'll get another year but it will only delay the inevitable. In that sense, we should go ahead and pay his buyout and release him.

After the dismal year we've had, you couldn't have asked for a better draw in LSU, Kentucky, and either UGA or Ole Miss. The two best teams right now, Florida and Tennessee, are on the other side of the bracket. Somebody has to win this thing, why not us?

You're wrong. They just don't have it defensively. They have talent to score and have done so. They haven't underperformed really at all.

Well then that is more on the coaching then. Having someone like Mickey makes playing defense a lot easier.

That and our guards are just too little.

Mickey is an excellent shot blocker but the reason he has so many is LSU can't guard on the perimeter.

Are you joking? You don't think all those athletes you have that can score also have the ability to defend. Quite frankly defending is much easier with the desire and property schemes.

Either way I feel this isan endless argument with yall. Your team has the talent to be solidly in the tournament, not on the outside looking in. That said, I hope you win it all in Atlanta (which you very well could) and get the auto bid because yall could win a game and our league needs that.

Their bigs make it a game regardless. It will be interesting to see if LSU goes with the zone tomorrow because Kentucky tore it apart in the last matchup and Kentucky has been struggling lately against man.

I have absolutely no clue how games between LSU and Kentucky went in basketball

I will watch other SEC teams play football but I'm not going to tune in to watch unless it's like Kentucky v Florida

though LSU beat the tar out of us today

No I'm not joking at all. Martin has offensive talent but is very weak and gets pushed around on defense. He's bad defensively. And our guards our tiny and teams get wide open looks way too often.

But I'm sure you've watched LSU way more than me and you know what you're talking about.

That was in response to TH03 who was whining about the refs trying to help Alabama and screw LSU while up 18 points with 2:00 left in the game.

yes, they just don't have a clue how to play defense which is why its been so frustrating. probably 75% of mickey's blocks come because we can't contain the point of attack at all, or his guy just slips by him. we aren't terrible deending on the block, thats just where o'bryant racks up the fouls in those tighter games.
