Better example than mine. See, LSU. Do you want to be Georgia? GEORGIA?

Damn man. Have you not watched us the last 3 years? Where UGA is now is exactly where we were headed. Just like with Mack Brown and Phil Fullmer, once guys who depend on recruiting and staff get played out, it falls apart fast.

In my personal opinion, Richt wasn't on that downward slope yet, so UGA may have pulled the trigger a bit early. But I'm completely convinced that Miles would have started losing ground in recruiting and posted a losing season within 1-2 more years. Why hang on just to let him drive it into the ground?

Absolutely. Miles should have been fired last season.

Peyton Manning is the best QB in NFL history why is he not on a team right now? The game passed him by - in his case physically, but it happens mentally too. Agreed, Miles WAS a good if not great coach for LSU. But, now we are much better off.

I really need to rephrase the question to make it clearer that I am comparing it to when we did essentially the same thing and caught hell for it. I say so in a later post, but this is not second-guessing.

I think you should have done it last year. We fired Fran right after he beat Texas for the second time in a row. He was that bad, and going to him after RC was a second-guessable" decision.

Seriously, man, you guys need stop seeing traps in every question from an Aggie.

Miles will always be well liked to the majority of LSU fans. Allot of fans from other SEC schools even liked the guy, as well. But even Spurrier said a decade at one place is too long.

Miles began to wear out his welcome. And after looking at the offense now; it was 100% Les Miles for the reasoning of our stagnant program.

If he was still coach we would have had another loss this past saturday. At lsu when you if you ever reach our level of play and actually win something then you would sense where your program is headed. But you r not there yet.

If Aggie had not f'ed up and won the game last year, then the title of your thread would have been LSU: 0 Losses

Miles was passed by Fat Bert and Freeze, not to mention he had no shot to beat Saban again. Great recruiter, great guy, but he just couldn't keep up with the current crop of coaches in the SEC. It was time for him to go. If ATM loves him so much, hire him.

You not good at gauging LSU fans are you...

Hell not only are fans good with it, some -myself included - now have us penciled into THIS YEAR'S national title game.

Lol, yeah we're happy with the decision to let Miles go. It was time.

Is this thread trying to say we are dumb for firing our coach, or actually a good team who has only lost close games away from home to ranked opponents?

You seem to be the rare exception, at least in this thread, so kudos to you. However, if you want to know why we ALL assume troll, just go check tape on the rest of your fan base on this board. I'll be the first to admit that our fans can be a nerurotic, whining mess, but just damn. Your fellow Ags are the worst, most unabashed trolls around here.

Yea, he was fired for those 2 games. Assuming you missed all of last season's games? The year before?

What makes it frustrating is that without Miles, we win those two games. So your question is dumb. Part of the reason those teams are ranked where they are is because they beat us. Miles tinkering in the offense and his personnel decisions are the main reason we lost those games.

I know its hard for you to understand since Aggies never beat miles but yall are more then welcome to fire sumlin and hire him or make him your offensive coordinator.
