Apparently Miles' teams skull thumping the aggies & then getting fired because he wasn't good enough makes you embarrassed. Hell, LSU fans were pissed off that the annual beat down of the aggies last year delayed the inevitable & probably cost LSU wins against the #11 & #15 team in the country to start this year.

LSU folks are an emotional bunch. It's those French bloodlines.

As opposed to the calm, cool and collected Alabama Ginger bloodlines who can't stay in the sun for longer than 20 minutes.

Well then it was pretty damn stupid to keep him for the beginning of this year then. If you've already made up your mind that you're going to fire him, then fire him before the year starts

Honest question: Would you have waited until the season was ruined to fire him?

Feel free to hire him if you think he is such an amazing coach.

Seriously? Have you watched the last 3 weeks. Yes it was lesser opponents but it's the way we should have been against these opponents all along. Bright things are coming to LSU. I honestly don't care who the next HC is cause it isn't a guy that has handcuffed our talent.

Absolutely good with it. He was a stubborn old mule. No adjustments if something wasn't wkin. Wore them out by mid season with those long arse physical 4 hour practices. Never left 22 formations unless it was 3rd and forever. Everyone watching knew what we were running 90% of the time. Didn't listen to the position coaches on personell decisions. At least some of em. He could recruit great talent in. As much as Alabama but still lost 3 a year

Put it this way

We have broken an offensive record every game since he's been fired

From what I read he had the chance to keep his job by firing Cam. He decided his own faith.
Now stop worrying about what we have going on and worry about your drunken coach

It's a big advantage for you guys this year to not have 4 strong SEC games in a row, especially not having to play a conference opponent 5 days prior.

But I don't blame you, I blame UF's Jeremy Foley and the incompetent SEC Commish Greg Sankey.

This will depend on their hire, if they follow in the footsteps of Georgia it could set the program back several years.

I had no idea this would elicit such emotional responses. It was an honest question based on our own experience of having a similar question asked for a while.

...the most successful coach in your history. Still good with the decision? Honest question.

The man flat-out lied to the AD about making changes to the offense and program as a whole after getting a get out of jail free card, and then did his usual crazy-talk dance to try and appese the fans and get some back on his side. He rode that shite as far as it would take him the last 4 years.

I like Miles and appreciate what he accomplished here, but you can't be that stubborn in this sport. He signed his own death warrant and I don't miss him at all as a coach.

I like Miles and he will go down as a great LSU Tiger; but isn't it coincidence that at this point only opposing fans wish Miles was still coaching this team.

Bama is the only team that may beat LSU the rest of this year.

Did you not pay attention last year? Alleva had every intention of firing Miles at the end of last season. It was the politicians and LSU's president that stepped in and saved him at the last minute. Even if Jimbo wasn't a possibility, I really believe he was still ready to move on. Look all the way back to his needlessly hard-nosed negotiating with Chavis, and then limiting Miles's budget for a replacement. In hindsight, I don't think those were accidents. He started down the road of getting rid of Miles at the beginning of 2015.

So if anyone deserves blame, it's all the idiots who stood in the way of what needed to be done. I will say that Alleva did make one really big mistake that hurt him. I don't think he realized what a media shite-storm would happen when he went public about Miles coaching for his job. That constant negative publicity for a solid two weeks is what killed everything. If he had kept it all quiet like UGA did, the resistance wouldn't have been there when the time came.

Who knows. Maybe we will end up getting a better coach out of the deal. The coaching market was pretty bare last year. Just ask USC and UGA.

Better example than mine.

See, LSU. Do you want to be Georgia?
