I would think so, considering previous all-SEC bowl matchups were prior to 1992 and on a 6-7 SEC game schedule.

When was the last all-SEC bowl game before Alabama-LSU?

The 1960 Sugar Bowl. I love the coincidence of that one too. LSU won the regular season matchup against Ole Miss 7-3, on Billy Cannon's punt return for a TD. Ole Miss won the re-match in the Sugar Bowl 21-0.

Vanderbilt and AU met in a Gator Bowl in the 50s, I believe.

Nah. The '63 Sugar Bowl between Alabama and Ole Miss is more recent than that.

The '63 Sugar Bowl was between Arkansas and Ole Miss.

My bad. I was talking about the 1963 season. Alabama and Ole Miss met in New Orleans in the 1964 Sugar Bowl.
