Since you already mentioned the 2000 Iron Bowl I'll go with the Mike Price debacle.

As bad as Dubose was and as humiliating as the Mike Price incident was...it was probably those few weeks after we canned Shula. We fired Shula, we were rejected by Rodriguez and Saban had publically turned us down. Bama was the laughing stock of college football. The pundits said no one would want to coach there and that the glory days were long gone....and frankly it seemed like they were right. Recruiting was fricked again and we would have to settle for another assistant like Shula or some NFL retread coach like Perkins......it really felt like the end of days as a Bama fan and the hell we had endured would never end.

I remember on the old TideSports they were passing around Mal Moore's email address. I came home drunk one night and typed out what was at least in my mind a very poignant summation of everything that was wrong with Bama over the past 10-20 years. Read it and reread it then hit "Send". Told him if he botched this hire and he should resign.

My last hurrah at Legion Field. That was the last time I saw Bama play in the Old Grey Lady.

it's the 2000 Iron Bowl. It was a miserable game in the freezing rain. We lost 9-0 and were never really in it.

That game was all sorts of miserable

Lots of memorable Iron Bowls - this one for all the wrong reasons.

Most Auburn fans would say the 2012 season, but for me it was last year against UGA. We were in control for the majority of the game and our defense absolutely shut them down...then Gus pulls our JJ and puts in an injured Sean and call nothing but passing plays as if we were down by two scores. We were WINNING when he did this! It honestly seemed like Gus was intentionally losing the game. I got off the Gus Bus that day and almost didnt renew my season tickets. This year is his last chance in my book

That game was when NewLanier emerged. I just could not believe what I was seeing

But the 2012 season was hurtful...

The circus of Fran quitting, then the firing of Price after a few months never coaching a game, then hiring Shula who had never been a HC which turned into a nightmare.

Probably watching the selection committee put Chokelahoma in the 2004 NC game against USCheat. I was certain then that God held a grudge against Auburn, and I'd never witness a NC. 83', 93' and 04' were all vindicated with one last second field goal in 2010.

Then watching our defense shite the bed in the 2013 NC ripped my heart out too.

2012 Missouri game...Neither team can stop the other, but Dooley lets 40 seconds tick off the clock when UT had the ball at their own 39. Tennessee threw for 430 yards in the game, with 4 tds and no ints. Dooley didn't even try to get within fieldgoal range...he froze and UT wound up losing in 4 OTs. Totaly indicative of Dooley's grasp of the game in one decision.

I sat through and saw some of the lowest points in the Stovall, Archer, Hallman and DiNardo eras but, the lowest points for me was losing to Miami, Fl 44-3 in 1988 and losing to Miami, OH 21-12 in 1986.

MU hadn't had a good program for 6 years. Stull was searching for a signature win and there were a ton of recruits in the stands for that game. Could have given him a little momentum.

We took all the extra doors from the attic of our house in the fort and burned them in the front yard after that game

63-17 loss to Clemson in 2003. That even tops the 0-11 season.

2006 bulldogs is probably the worst football team I've ever tried to watch. 2005 was bad but by 2006, I was through. I'm not even sure how we managed to beat bama that year even on Shula's last breath.

At least scoreboard wise we were trending up at the end of 2006 somewhat with close losses to UGA and Ole Miss and beating Bama on the road. The last half of the 2003 season was the most miserable that I felt as a fan. I was at the UK game when we blew a 17-0 lead and UK scored 42 unanswered points. Sherrill had already announced his retirement (he was going to get fired anyway for three straight losing seasons) and probation was looming.
