LSU has an AD that LOVES to throw money around. He throws out huge contracts just because he can. A&M knows him well ... he left us with some really large contracts in his time in Texas.

State had a $330 million budget surplus last year.

Losing to LSU on and off the field is really messing with your psyche.

Huge contracts are worth it when they win you national championships. See LSU.

Huge contracts are not worth it when they win you nothing. See aggy.

We got all the children's hospitals funneling all their cash to LSU football so we can afford it. NIL and Biden made it legal.

Tax dollars don’t go to LSU coaches.

Hey, we lost our offensive coordinator this year that lead us to the number one offense in the country. And what's weird for LSU fans, nobody cried about it. Y'all will find another DC. But thanks for yours. We reallllly needed one.

He was responding to the OP who stated that Louisiana was the “poorest state”. He never claimed tax dollars funded coaches.

The state exists to support LSU football and tourism in NOLA, that's about it. Food is wonderful though so I'm happy it exists.
