Good news unless that means they move Mack Brown to that spot.
I never watched Mack Brown on any of the halftime shows he did but he was one of the best announcers I had heard in a long time when he called the R+L Carriers bowl

While I respect him as a coach, he wasn't really all that good as a sports anchor or whatever the hell it was he was doing.

With Rece Davis moving up to GameDay and Holtz retiring ESPN has a really good chance to finally put together college football studio show

Holtz was like NCAA's Madden, only with a speech impediment.

They need to get Spurrier to retire and take over for Ole Lou.

Anyway he can take Corso with him? That'd be great.

They should take this opportunity to get rid of Skip and May.

This saddens me.
Lou Holtz has been part of the South Carolina fanbase since 1999.

I never understood why ESPN hired a drunk Grandma Clampett to talk about college football.

Exactly. He was a fan boy for ND and USCe and had zero objectivity towards either. If he played it as a shtick it wouldn't have been a problem, but he was oblivious to how moronic he sounded when talking about those teams and people discounted what he said about them - even if they deserved praise - because it was coming from him.
On a personal level, I've heard he's a wonderful person and I wish him well at whatever he does next.
