Last week was, "We aren't getting the ball to Julio enough."

I'm sure this week's theme othere than Spurrier being homecoming" will be what was wrong with the offense or what was wrong with Greg McElroy.

Two things...

1) Ole Miss is pretty good on defense. I didn't give them enough credit when I predicted their downfall in the summer. I said the loss of Jerry and Palmer would really hurt them. They don't seem to have missed a beat. They can run. They can cover for the most part. And they can rush the passer. Honestly, I don't see Auburn or LSU having much success against them on offense. Which would totally screw up my Ole Miss finishing 4th prediction.

2) I contend that Bama wr's dropped at least three passes, two of thsoe being for TD's. Now I will give Holla McGhee, err Colin Peek credit, his catch would've been a great catch. Regardless, it his his hands and fell in the endzone. After that, Julio dropped the opening pass of the game and then had one hit him in stride in the endzone. Mac's numbers look a lot better at 20-35 and two more TD's.

Not too mention a more lopsided score.

The staff seems to make good corrections to the previous game's mistakes. I would not be at all surprised if Bama hammers SC on homecoming.

I'm actually very scared that this will happen this week. Eric Norwood. Need I say more?

If we can get to the bye week we will have played the three toughest defenses we will face all year in my opinion. If we can get these three wins Ole Miss, South Carolina, and UT Gmac will be a much better player. At the least he will have had to avoided making mistakes with great pass rushers in his face. But most likely he will have to at least make a few big plays in all of the games.
If we make it to Atlanta and beyond it will have a lot to do with these three games.

again afte Gmac grandstanded in front of reporters about JJ, he then goes out and does exactly what he said we wouldnt do is this fact lost on everyone else because I was extremely exasperated at our offensive production especially redzone that had less to do with OM(who is a great def) and more to do with poor reads.

Greg McElroy will bounce back against the Gamecocks. He had an off day. He forced it to Julio in the redzone. There was a difficult wind/weather to deal with. Ole Miss has a great front line as well. I think Alabama will be able to minimize Norwood's impact. The Gamecocks are thin and young along the defensive line.
