Jayden Daniels as the best QB statistically this year despite playing for a 3 loss LSU will likely become part of the "Winner By Default" Fraternity, with such names as RG3, Devonta Smith, and Mark Ingram. He probably won't get a room in the Heisman house, but maybe they let him crash on the couch

Whose team doesn't even have a default winner. Yeah, go eat at the little kids table

Daniels went out there and became one of just 4 SEC players to have 50 total TDs in a single season

And he’s the first player period to do it in 12 games

Dallas Turner is the rightful winner.

Winner by default you fricking moron? He blew out every other players performances by far and led in almost every statistical category. That’s called earning the reward and voters are saying it’s going to be a landslide victory

I would give it at least a 3, but no more than a 4.5

Honestly, Randy Moss was the best player the year Woodson won it.

What is interesting is that Manning, Moss, and Woodson all turned out to be elite pros.

Literally the opposite. You gave a good definition that showed Daniels winning because he is clearly a memorable talent, not the best player on a top ranked team.

Devonta Smith

Weird take for a player who had over 1800 yards receiving and 23 TDs the year he won it.

Only won it because Waddle, the superior player on his own team, got hurt

Is he, though?

Will people outside of the swampy backwaters of Louisiana really remember him?

Really confused as to how being the best player in the country goes hand in hand with losses???

Especially with the defense that LSU had this year. If the defense was just a fraction better, LSU would be undefeated..

Is the heisman supposed to be the best player on the best team, or is it an individual award???

Statistically the best player, maybe.

Best player in the country? No.

He wasn't even the best player for LSU this year.

Disagree that he will be a memorable winner. Thats at least partly because of the team results though.

Wait and see what Jayden does in the pros to determine how he will be remembered nationally

Moron post of the day!

Ignorant statement and position, the kid arguably had one of the better seasons in the history of college football! Especially dual-threat wise!

Then take into account “Strength of Schedule” versus all Other runner-ups and the numbers are even more in his favor as the best play in CFB.

Then realize that this is one of LSU’s worst defensive squad in many years & that’s not his fault.

And that same defense lost its DL COACH a week Or 2 before season started with cancer treatments out of nowhere. And lost its QB of the defense, ALL SEC-Safety Greg Brooks Jr. with a brain tumor right before season started & were light in depth as it is. And were injury/snake bitten with all
Year long in key defensive positions.

ALL OF WHICH, none of that reflects on what JD did this season! IF IT weren’t for him, we would have lost several other games and been blown out in several
Others, he was that good & our defense was that bad, couldn’t stop anyone.

All that being said, you’re likely some big mouth Texan that never played a down of significant football in your life if you can’t see this young man JD is special!

And before you try and check my credentials for what my opinion means, I coached many years ago, coached at the highest state level there is with players that went all over the country, state championships at highest level, all-star games, coached many future NFL players. Coached under Saban at LSU & Tuberville at Auburn, coached all their 5-star DB recruits while they would evaluate talent over my shoulder. Did that many summers in between seasons. Strength and conditioning, DC, special teams coordinator etc etc…

So Go Frick yourself as you don’t know football and spouting shite off your ignorant pea-brain, we SEC members are already regretting they let you clowns in our prestigious league!

Y’all won’t win jack shite thoigh, wait til Sark gets comfortable, he will be in the bottle in no time,
