I for one am looking forward to Saban retiring. My reasons are not because I hate BAMA but because watching a BAMA football game is boring unless your a fan. I realize it is a well oiled machine there but the way they mow over other teams has made the games they play be less interesting and honestly we all know the outcome before the kickoff.
I for one enjoy a competitive and exciting game.

Even if you're thinking it have enough pride not to come out and say it.

I gotta be honest, Saban and I don't care what you're looking forward to.

It's not happening anytime soon. I was listening to several of his keynote addresses the other day and one of the things he talks about is his fear of not being a part of a team.

He's been a member of a team since he was 7 years old. I'm afraid Coach isn't going any where anytime soon.

Of course you would think someone would tell him that he could coach Pee Wee football and still be a member of a team.

I don't care if he retires. I'm just ready for him to go away.

Do Bama fans ever get bored for football? We have had like a 5 week taste and it's not as exciting as nail biters every week

Well Kirby was supposed to go prove himself at SC then take the Bama job when Saban retired. That makes me think that it will be 3-4 more years or so until Saban retires.

It's exciting when every team in the SEC doesn't shite the bed. This year has been a bit mundane thus far. Stop firing coaches that have your program above its traditional level.

My friend almost hit him with his truck while he was walking out of the hotel in Baton Rouge last year.

You'd think all the other SEC schools could band together and put up a huge retirement package with a contract to never return to college football.

I've heard him say this in the past as well. Saban is in great shape physically for his age and seems to be one of those guys that wouldn't enjoy retirement.

Only way he retires is by losing.

SEC as a whole has to start recruiting better and winning those Alabama recruiting battles.

I have an uncle that retired from the Air Force after 30 years of service. The man was “retired” for 3 days and got a civilian job. That being said, even if he retired from coaching, I think he’d be high up in the athletic department the very next day. The only other likely scenario is he dies shortly after coaching like the Bear.
