This thread is hilarious. UGA finally lives up to its potential one year and they think they are the new Bama.

Talking "dynasty" before the first championship?

Lots of college football coaches have had success in their first 2-3 years as they bring new energy into programs and can usually sell playing time to recruits.

CNS' ability to sustain success in recruiting, player development, roster management, overcoming coaching turnover, etc for a decade plus is what has set him apart.

It is a grind that is all consuming to create and sustain an even keeled level of performance with high peaks where his team is competing for championships and the occasional valley is still a 10 win season and quality bowl game.

That is a lot of expectation to put on CKS in year 2 and is well beyond the expectation that any UA fan had for CNS after a 12-0 regular season in 2008.

We're talking about a program that has the same number of NC as BYU,GT,and Colorado in the past 50 years.

One

They haven't won anything since John Travolta was wearing that white suit. The Barn and UGA have been passing out the annual Pre-Seaon NC banners for the past 20 years. One per family.

Some might think that. I am not one of those. Roster is not there yet. We are still a few notches below Bama and Clemson. We have made good progress towards closing that gap this year.

More like UF with McElwain. The East is shite right now. But they did beat an injured Auburn team in Atlanta. Speaking of Saban, I don't remember him carrying a 40-17 arse whooping in his entire tenure at Bama. Carry on with the delusion, until OU goes in dry.

Uga has injured players as well. So, your logic is flawed gainsvillepuma05. I think you are more like those miss state teams of late 90s. Make a appearance in sec title and stink it up. Also too you should know about Saban and the whoopings he been giving you guys.

Do you know what "on the verge" means?

You have one SEC title, and one playoff appearance so far. You have back to back strong recruiting classes. Congrats on the progress.

Bama had 7 straight #1 recruiting classes, will likely finish in top 3-4 this year, too. They've won 5 SEC titles and 4 national titles with 4 straight appearances in the playoffs. You're going to need more than one SEC, national, and recruiting title before we can even begin to talk about being on the PATH to recreating the Bama dynasty, much less being "on the verge" of it.

You think a dynasty is brewing yet you've won no championship yet and didn't even have to play Bama.

The East was fricking terrible this year, as usual. Georgia looks great this year man but Jesus, cut the comparisons to Saban and Bama until you start dominating the conference year in and year out and winning multiple titles.

You're closer to ending up like Ole Miss than you are Bama.
