I guess coming close counts as a win at Vandy

I've never understood the "overrated" chant. Why would you want to cheapen your accomplishment?

It's a salt in wound chant. How is that hard for people to understand?

Why would I want to make my win (or close loss) seem less impressive? Especially in college basketball when beating a highly ranked team greatly improves your resume. I guess I just care more about my team looking good than the other team looking bad.

I thought Vandy fans were supposed to be smarter than the average SEC fan.

They were chanting overrated while losing. Seems an odd time to pull that one out.

But then, Vandy doesn't have much sports success, so maybe they just don't know.

I guess you're the only one confused by that chant.

I don't think the selection committee takes crowd chants into consideration

I don't know who was at the line, but I thought they were yelling at him and not at the team.

Ummmm, you know its just a chant right?

They don't lose RPI points because of it

It was directed at Monk, who was at the line with a 1-and-1 up 2 with under a minute left.

The "overrated" chant is overrated

Booing is pretty uncool but has become all to common these days

Dook fans have the most boorish behavior and sadly kids today have sought to imitate them.

I think he actually understands it; he's just commenting on how stupid it is. And he's correct.

I was there and I thought it stupid too. It was a good game but the refs were too quick on the whistle I felt. They slapped 7 fouls on Vandy's two centers in the first half. They called a lot of fouls on UK too but it was more distributed.

No he actually says he doesn't understand it.

I think it's stupid too but when you're at a game and pumped you just upset a team it can make the experience more fun.

Some real fun sponges up in here.
