He deserves all he gets. I hate Bama but you can't deny the success and it all begins with him. Is what it is.

P.S.-He'll probably be another JoPa lol

It'd be cool if he does. They won't contend for a title again once he hits 70

So we've got 5 good years left?

In the last 5 yrs, he's won 4 SEC titles and 3 National titles..... On a pace like that, I think I'd be ok if he doesn't contend for a title once he hits 70.

And how old is he now?

OK...I misread your post. Thought it was more Bowl Jackson dumbassery

Regardless, Bowden, Paterno, Bryant were all winning at a high level in their late 60's to early 70's...and I would take an older Saban than some younger less proven guy.

Paterno coached until he was 85. Bowden, I believe was 81 & won a championship at age 70.

I think Coach Saban has a few years left in him.

We could roll Coach Saban's cold dead corpse onto the field and beat LSU, so it really doesn't matter.

He's proven it at USC and LSU

Look back at the games he won and the games he lost at both places. He beat the teams he should have and lost to the good teams (UCLA, Bama, Florida).

He's proven nothing yet. He might be great though. We'll see.

I'm thinking he hangs up the whistle after he wins about 3 more SEC titles at least ties Coach Bryant with NC's.

That's not the goal, according to Kirby Smart. Saban wants to stand alone at the top. Kirby said so about 2 years ago at a REC meeting

He appears to be in damn good shape for his age. I don't know why he couldn't coach at a high level till 73.

Beat bad teams. Lost to good teams. Won a meaningless bowl.

Hey, if that is your definition of proving it, have at it.

Bad news OP. Nick Saban is actually getting younger pursuant to the terms of his deal with the devil.

This is about twenty years ago at Michigan State:

He will only quit coaching in about 40 years when he becomes a teenager again.

Little people live longer ... proven fact.

Saban could live to be 100 at his size.

Well LSU fans told me he wouldn't be at Alabama longer than 3 years so I guess you're the expert.

He would leave sooner if some teams would start beating him.

Dude, even if he doesn't coach that long I reckon we will still keep playing football after he retires.

Also LOL at any LSU fan that LOL at us. You replaced your winningest coach ever with his DL coach who was an established loser in the SEC. Go laugh at Mizzou.
