Assuming all other factors remain constant (no injuries, etc.), that roster would immediately be the Vegas favorite to win the Super Bowl, and probably by a wide margin.

Does LSU have a trio of better safeties than Collins, HaHa, and Jackson? LSU has better corners and that’s it. Also, Bama LBs are far better all around.

Jamal Adams, Tyrann Mathieu, Eric Reid, Jalen Mills. Pretty soon, Delpit could be added.

If we went past we could say, Laron Landry, Craig Steltz, and if he had an opportunity, Chad Jones.

I'm not arguing the lbs. That is stupid to dispute. Bama blows that out of the water. LSU maybe has more hybrid lb's but that's it.

It lasted a whole 1 day before Alabama beat LSU again

Why teams shouldn’t break the bank on CJ Mosley in free agency
quote:

The young (26) ‘Bama product is expected to enter free agency as an unrestricted free agent in a class that lacks talent at off-ball linebacker, and the odds are that he signs a lucrative, multi-year contract that gives him top-five off-ball linebacker money for the aforementioned reasons.

But is he worth that kind of cash?

quote:

Mosley tied for 151st among qualifying defenders in PFF’s WAR (Wins Above Replacement) metric at 0.34 in 2018, and he tied for 25th among all off-ball linebackers; better coverage linebackers (i.e., Matt Milano, Cory Littleton, Zach Brown) all ranked significantly ahead of him.

quote:

Good, not great coverage and strong run defense at off-ball linebacker can be added to the roster for far less than the price tag likely pinned to Mosley in free agency.

But hey, the Jets had to spend some of that $82+ million in cap space somewhere.

I'd love for someone to put together a NFL Starting 22 just from LSU/Alabama.

The Redskins have already started with just Alabama kids....starting on defense first.

Yea, it's probably silly to spend that much on any ILB, even a 26 year old 4-time pro bowler and 4-time 2x All-Pro in the prime of his career.

The thread title is literally "Linebacker U makes Alabama kid 2nd highest paid NFL inside linebacker", so..........sorry if spiking that shite to the stone age triggers you.
