Since you're on top of this, can you tell me who's winning?

In attendance? It's LSU every year for the last quarter century.

With such a disgrace of a stadium and field, eating shite is probably better than what yall have at the concession stands.

We are in the middle of renovations. When renovations are complete, the Vols will have spent $96 million on upgrades to the baseball facility alone. Once complete, Vols will have one of the nicest stadiums in the country. You can troll all you want, but LNS is not even the worst stadium in the SEC, now is it the smallest.

All bullshite aside, it's nice to see a program putting money to the sport. I hope they get rid of the all turf field. At the very least put dirt where it belongs and back the fence up 5 feet in every spot.

The turf is a recent addition, so it's not going anywhere for now. But I share your sentiment.

Yes, we know. That's what the rest of the conference has been trying to tell you about baseball.

Tennessee administrators 10+ years ago would not dare spend money like the current administration is on secondary sports. We actually have an AD and Chancellor that actually care about ALL sports, and not just Football.

I think it’s staying asking ad Vitello is at UT. I remember the Vols have an all natural playing field in 2017, and it was a great playing surface. I know a lot of traditionalist don't like it, but the turf surface does have advantages. Now days you see more and more teams going to the all turf in baseball, as it easier to maintain, and don’t have to worry about rainouts or tarp the field when it rains.

Tennessee field is very similar to a lot of college fields in the SEC.

LNS Dimensions
Left- 320
Left C- 360
Centers 390
Right C- 360
Right- 320

Vandy
Left - 310

UGA
Right- 314
Alleys- 370/365

La Tech
Left- 315
Alleys- 370/350
Right- 325

These are just a couple of parks and there is more that are similar in size in the SEC in certain areas. While many people make a big deal about it, I think it’s played up more than anything. If it was that easy to hit homeruns at LNS, then other teams would be doing the same thin. Also the Vols lead the country in doubles, so it does play big in areas, or plays about the same.

Actually I think I read it’s being replaced too, in accordance with whatever Tony prefers.

LNS Renovations update.

Phase one was completed this off season. They will continue to rebuild LNS at the end of each season till completed. The link will describe what is expected for each year during the rebuild.

The Lindsey Nelson turf isn't going anywhere. Tony is on record liking it. One of the points in scheduling games is playing the games. We play games in conditions that other teams have cancellations; ie, after heavy rainfalls or even during light rain. He wants his players to max out on playing time, and turf is the way.

LSU plays after heavy rainfalls and during light rain as well.
