Christ man, the dude is joking. I know the interwebz is serious business and all, but I thought it was funny. GTFO with how the deployed feel about a random comment on TD. If they're deployed, they aren't pu$$ies.

Thank you to all of the brave men and women who have served, are serving, and will serve in our military.

My heart goes out to this hero. He paid far too much of a sacrifice.

Dude is a hero. Saved himself and his buddy. Its great that he's receiving the MoH.

Its taken the White House way too long to award him the honor.

The ones making light of this need to STFU. This guy is a true hero, unlike the athletes that some here idolize.

Huh?

It's an excruciatingly long process to award a MoH, and it's not like the White House (regardless of administration) is the one dragging its feet. Most medals are awarded years after the fact, and it's been going on since WWII. The chains of command within each branch and DoD are the ones who slow the process to a crawl.

Medal of Honor takes moment to earn, years to receive

I got worried because my last duty station was in a Cav squadron...The shame will never leave me!
