LF7 is a good guy

I've never respected an LSU player as much as I do him. Guy is homegrown and very grounded. I still hope he doesn't get 100 yards against Bama but I will pull for him against everyone else. I've tried my hardest to find a reason to not like the guy but it's pretty hard. Anybody who thinks he's a "thug" is just being ridiculous and racist. I'm not one of those liberals that believe that everything is racist but I do think that black athletes are sometimes automatically viewed as thugs which is very unfair. Any time I talk to my Alabama friends about LF, they always say they hate him and I just think the blind hate towards athletes just because they play for another team is absolutely stupid. And to Auburn, people hate Cam because he's a cocky and spoiled brat, not because he's black or good at football. LF shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as that piece of crap.
TL;DR: I like Leonard Fournette and dislike Cam Newton

I feel the same way. I also like Willie Allen. I'm rooting for that guy so hard

At first, I wanted to dislike him after that Heisman pose against Sam Houston States.
But he's actually a good guy, rooting for him.

Why is he an "awful person"?

The majority of bama fans will always hate Cam. He really tore out your souls and it makes me smile. It's been 6 years and the man gets a daily shout out from bama fans.

I respect his average YPC and record against Bama.

It's a shame Cam Newton got his shite pushed in by an aggie in the Super Bowl

He seems like a good guy. He's got every reason to be full of himself but doesn't seem to be.
I hope he does well.

There are a lot of good kids in the league. It's just that the POS's get all the attention, which gets the league's fans riled up, and universal hate is soon everywhere. Fournette is a really good person. As I am sure Derrick Henry is from all accounts. Treadwell from Black Bear country, another good guy who worked hard to come back from a horrible injury & hopefully will get rewarded. Fans need to take a hard look at any college kid before assigning him to the POS dog pile. The bad eggs are never hard to see. A lot of the good eggs are.

I have no real reason to cheer FOR Cam, but I don't dislike him either. He is interesting in a way that most NFL players are decidedly uninteresting. That is, he speaks his mind, and he actually looks like he's having fun on the field. Did he take money to go to Auburn? Don't know, don't really care despite my join date of Nov 2010. I mean, even if he did, he'd hardly be the first or last to take money to play somewhere in college. I'm sure most big schools pay a significant number of players or cheat in some way, that, if discovered, would look completely horrible to anyone who still thinks college football is an amateur sport.
Hating someone in the pros because they played for a rival in college seems silly. How long have some Bama fans held a grudge against Peyton Manning just because he played at UT? How many times do LSU/Auburn/Tennessee/whoever fans gleefully post about Bama busts? It just seems like a lot of energy put into hate over a way-too-long period of time.
I think a lot of the Cam hate is because he's a black QB that would rather have fun than reassure whitey that he isn't a threat.

I think the punter for bama is a good guy. He is not a "thug". Anytime I talk to my Auburn friends about him, they always say they hate him because he can flip the field with the swing of his leg. I think that is absolutely stupid. His name should never be put in the same sentence with the word "thug". To have him mentioned with the name of some pro punter piece of crap is ridiculous.

Why? I mean of all people, why him? Just seems extremely random. Dude hasn't even played yet.
