At my Dad's house for Fathers Day, going thru some papers and came across a letter signed by The Bear on November 9th 1973. Anyone have any idea what it might be worth?

To me? Millions. To collectors? Few hundred, maybe in the thousands, I don't know for sure.

Go ask the guys from Pawn Stars.

Looks like you need to book a trip to Vegas. Put that thing on Pawn Stars.

Would depend on the content of the letter. Could be $100 to a lot more.

It won't be worth shite to people in Nevada. Go to a bama clothing store and have an auction or something

A lot of it is based on the content of the letter and of course IF Bear actually signed it... It is common practice for assistants, etc. to sign many letters. Take it to Pawn Stars in Vegas the next time you go.

Not as much as a gay sex tape of Tim Tebow.

If it is a legitimate collectible with value it will be.

I'm sure his weekly trip to Nevada will be extremely convenient here.

A friend of mine's dad got on that show a few years ago. Hauled a damn rickshaw from Houston all the way to Las Vegas and they passed on it.

It is on official University of Alabama stationary with the watermark. It is in response to a letter my dad sent to CPB about LSU bragging about how they were going to whip some butt.
The Bear responded:
Good morning Mr. Jones......
and thank you for your letter and the
clipping recieved this morning.
We are gled to hear you are a 'Bama
fan and greatly appreciate your support.

The signature looks to be very authentic..

So did the bear suck at spelling or do you?
Posted on 6/16/12 at 3:14 pm to AA7
That is exactly how the Bear had his secretary (rm) write it.

Better off going to Cajun Pawn stars to appraise it. If you go to Las Vegas you would probably get Rick's son trying to rip you off.

That letter isn't worth shite. The Bear wrote a lot of letters. I'm sure most still exist.

Ahhh maybe ol bear just made a mistake during one of his drunken stupors.
