I will hate if the shite that went down in Charlottesville carries over into the town I called home for some of the best years of my life.

This is just asking for trouble

I hate how they're turning "White Nationalist" into a negative racial term. I'm a White guy. I support our country more than any other. I guess that makes me a white nationalist. I'm no Nazi, Im not racist, I'm not sexist, or homophobic. But they like to group people together. So now all those idiots flying nazi and confederate flags in Charlottesville= Regular white guys like me somehow?

Identity politics is the number 1 dividing factor in this country. frick all this SJW bullshite. It's doing no good for anyone.

this nutjob came to A&M and while it created somewhat of a hubbub and there were people demonstrating against him, nothing of note really happened

i dont think UF will have to worry about something like what just happened in virginia happening

Maybe I'm just not understanding what it is? Idk. I just don't see why it's so bad to be a white guy who supports the USA.

white nationalist arent just your average everyday white person who supports the united states

white nationalists, like richard spencer, think that america is of the whites for the whites. they think that white people should literally be the only group that has a say in this country and that all other races, and some even feel this way about women, are subservient and lesser than

they dont support america, they support an america that is completely controlled by the white race

This isn't going to affect the LSU - Florida game,is it? Lord knows none of want to rehash a rescheduling of that game again this year.

He came and spoke at Auburn this past spring. The students pretty much ran him and the counter protestors that always show up out of town.

I'm positive that UF leadership is talking to Auburn about the way it was handled. Seeing all the shite that happened in Charlottesville that didn't happen in Auburn makes me extremely proud of the Auburn Family.

Good luck Gators and remember to be thankful to live in a country that no matter how idiotic your viewpoint is you can still have a platform to speak it.

Gotchya. I'm definitely not a white nationalist in those terms, nor would I support that kind of white nationalist. I don't know this speaker or what his views are. I just didn't quite understand the term. I get it now. I'm a white guy, who's a nationalist, but not a white nationalist. You see how that can be confusing tho baw lol

What happened in Charlottesville wasn't just Spencer speaking. It was a planned rally with groups busing in to protest taking down a Confederate statue. The gunpowder was just waiting to be lit and some racist murderer lit it.

When Spencer speaks (as he did at Auburn and A&M), it's him and a few other nutjobs. This was hundreds to thousands of them. Little bit different in terms of possibility of volcanic eruption, at least it was. I'm sure things will be ratcheted up significantly now, even at just his "speaking stops".
