That sounds like a lot of pork! How many people are you talking about?
Good thread, btw.

For 2:30 kickoff vs Auburn my day will look something like
Wake up around 7ish
Make me a nice, fat mimosas.
Gameday on the TV then head to the parade grounds around 1030ish
Drink heavily until the game starts.. kegs, kegs, and the best food around with loud music and lots of drinking games. Get dirty dirty with lots of dancing and not remembering much
Sneak my Jim Beam into the game and take pulls throughout the game.
Leave at halftime because LSU is losing.
FIFY.

3 tents, generator, TV, fans that we hang in the corners of the tents satellite. We do something different food wise every game, my favorite to cook is pork tenderloin or a shrimp boil.
Drink beer, usually Dales Pale Ale or Sweetwater IPA. Save the bourbon for when the weather cools off.

We have (rich) friends with a game day condo right at toomers corner. We usually party there and people watch from the balcony before moseying over to a tailgate spread by the library. A lot depends on the weather.

Tailgating today at Phish.
Two butts and a bunch of peachwood smoked chicken and a propane grill for burgers and dogs, a keg of terrapin, two 20x20 tents, 2oz mushrooms and a bunch of free tix from radio station to trade for anything else we want, like a boss.

At the core it's only about 15 people. But throughout the day people always stop by and there is rarely food left.

I agree with your food choices so far. Need pics!

We are in the catored tents next to JHS usually. Big white tent, a few tables for food and drinks. One big flat screen. Nice set up for 30-50 people.
Food varies. We have had BBQ brought in. Usually have some ribs. Buffalo Chicken dip that was mentioned earlier is my favorite. Chips, dips, etc. People bring stuff as well.
My drink of choice is either Crown/diet coke or Ultra...
Do yall pool money for the set up or does a small group or one person pay for the majority? I am slowly thinking tailgate guys might be in my future, but I need some more people

This is always the interesting question for me. Most people I know split the games up. Where each person is 100% responsible for 1 game/year. Makes things simple.
Others will have a fixed pool and each put up money for the year. I'm not a fan because it's too complicated. If you can do it though, it yields better and more consistent results (you don't have to worry about 1-2 friends being shitty).
You can also try to supplement your expenses on tailmate.co

I've doing it since UA started the service years ago. I won't haul TV's/tables/tents and shite again. I even have the food catered from Moe's BBQ/Steamers(great shrimp & sides)/Buffalo Phil's wings, etc. All I bring is the beer/liquor, I pack our lawn chairs in a large trash can that we use for garbage during the day. Minimal cleanup, minimal hauling.

I agree. If you have to set something up by yourself each week, it's miserable. Distribution of work/labor is huge.

I tailgate with about 20 ex Auburn football players. One of them owns a medical company who has the tailgate with a surgeons group out of Enterprise. They team up and pay for the tailgate from "The Tailgate Guys". We usually have around 50-80 people there. Most people bring food and a couple of others bring the big meals.
Iron bowl 13 we has oysters and shrimp.
