Jed, what would your thoughts be if LSU hired Tubby Smith? He wasn't up to UK standards, but he would probably bring his old pal Butch Pierre back to LSU.

He's pushing 61 though

Now that's a grind. Tell Stricklin to give you some social media points for that.

I guess, if I'm asked to speculate.

At his age, he's obviously not the long term solution, but he'd push the program farther along in the right direction, and lay a nice foundation for the next guy.

TJ's pedigree doesn't even begin to compare with Tubby's, at all. Bigtime upgrade, in my opinion.

Ware came off the bench the majority of the year. We return 4/5 starters, most of our bench, and bringing in a more talented class than we're accustomed to at positions of need. If we get Parker, I'd say the East sans UK should be on notice. We split with UT and UF last year. Shouldn't be forgotten. Vandy and Mizzou lose a ton as well.

That's all we can ask for at this point. Thanks

Well, he would be a better hire then State got in Ray...but I think Prohm would be a slam dunk choice.

Good night, Tubby would do a decent job with in-state recruiting...he just does not like to do it...plus, he is pulling Saul around for the ride.

He would be like Trent, maybe a tad better...he is a good X and O's coach...just the recruiting game is not his thing.

I disagree.

Parker is older than Stokes.

Do you expect Parker to put up better numbers next season?

Keep in mind Stokes averaged 9&8 as a HS Sr. playing only SEC games.

No way Parker is more talented imo.

We are going to suck again next year, but Frank Martin will right our sinking ship. Calipari couldn't clean up the mess that pathetic excuse for a coach Horn left us in. 3 years we will be a tourney team. Mark it down, I am absolutely ecstatic with our hire. Never thought I'd see the day where we'd pony up for a proven coach.

Are they really going to an 18 game schedule? How is that going to work if anybody knows?

Tubby should take the job. The Big Ten is gonna be brutal and plus it's really damned cold in Minnesota. He won't get LSU much above bubble status, but he won't drive it over a cliff either. Decent hire, but not great by any means. He is just coasting for the most part at this point in his career.

Graduated a lot. We get Bowers back next year along with Pressey and Dixon.

Mizzou has a lot of transfers coming in too:

Alex Oriakhi (UCONN)
Ernest Ross (Auburn)
Keion Bell (Pepperdine)
Jabari Brown (Oregon)
Tony Criswell (Juco/UAB)

We'll be fine
