How long will 9, 10 win seasons be tolerated?

The thing is, we know we can do better than 9-10 win seasons. But if we can sustain even just that level of success we are doing better than 95% of the programs in the FBS and should be grateful when/if we can get back to that level.

There is a mindset among CFB fans that a season has to end in a championship to be successful. I don't feel like the 1 team that wins the natty out of the 120-something in FBS every year is the only team in the nation that feels they had a successful season.

Hell, Arky didn't have a great season from a W/L perspective, but all the hogs i know were stoked about their season and what it means for the future.

Miles would step down and Jimbo Fisher would be hired.

eh, his buyout is on some Wall St. bailout type shite

texag, I think you set a record!

eta if LSU goes 4-8 this year I'd be 100% fine with firing Miles.

Would Kevin Sumlin get canned if the aggies go 4-8 because it is a real possibility?

Does Les Miles get fired or put on a big time hot seat?

Hell, I even think Sumlin would be fired for going 4-8 and that's not even a football school.
Over the past 20 years, Dinardo had a 4 & 3 win season before being fired. After that, its been at least 8 wins. Who else can say that they have won at least 8+ a year for 15 years?

I think LSU loses 6 this year for sure and possibly 7 if they lose to Syracuse. The defense is going to be a disaster and they don't see it coming.

Auburn L
MSU L
Ole Miss L
Arkansas L
Alabama L
Florida L

That is how I see the year for them. McElwain at Florida will eat Kevin Steeles lunch.

The A&M fanbase has made it clear that the only thing that matters is attendance and recruiting rankings, which Sumlin delivers on.

Winning isn't a priority for the A&M fanbase

Completely agree. Miles is here to stay, and LSU isn't going 4-8

i think we're in for a 4-4 type conference season and probably 4-0 OOC. Another mediocre year. Bowl game will probably be a tossup. So somewhere aroudn 9-4 or 8-5. What you predicted would be a pretty bad scenario.

I'll go with Miles consistency over any other coach in the West except Saban and over all coaches in the East. Please come back when Sumlin, Mullen, Freeze, Bert, Malzahn all put up 10 years of what Miles has done.

LSU hasn't had a losing season since 1999, and had two national championships within that time period. A&M's last losing season was in 2009...There's really no comparison

LSU

vs.

A&M

So what makes you think LSU will go 4-8? By our standards 8 wins is a bad season and it's only happend twice in the 10 years Miles has been here. Considering that most of the leaders on last years team were freshman/underclassmen, I really think LSU will have a phenomenal year next year. Thats if Brandon Harris starts.

Nine 10-win seasons for LSU compared to ONE for A&M in that time.

It would be a shame if LSU got rid of Miles after a 4-8 season. He's been successful enough to at least prove he can turn it around.

I don't think he would get fired. I guess it also depends on how you lose. Getting embarrassed in losses changes things greatly.

He would be fired but the chances of LSU going 4-8 are very slim
